I was told when I purchased my Impression that I would be able to sync with Outlook on my PC. I have only been able to sync images, but not data. The phone comes with New PC Studio, but it is not user friendly and does not come with a user guide. Does anyone know if this phone is capable of syncing data (contacts, calender, etc..)?? Thanks.

You were lied to. The only way to backup your contacts on an Impression is to buy a second SIM chip and backup your contacts to it.
i havent tried it yet but if im not mistaken you should be able to select all your contacts and send them bluetooth to your pc. im on my laptop now witch does not have BT, but when i go home later i will try it on my desktop. if it works you could get BT usb dongles pretty cheep. my biggest thing with this phone is not being able to change the dam wall paper on the lock screen. anyone figure anything out with that? ill report later on the contact exchange with the bluetooth.
... bolt wont remember my preset settings like landscape mode for some reason (another pain) ...
I read on their site that it won't save settings if you use the 'End Call' button to exit the browser, you need to use Menu -> Exit. Have you tried that?

My next question is this, how can we distinguish what an actual PDA phone is... Cause its obvious that this impression phone is NOT a pda cause it will not play those links.. I have like 6 used phones here and all have a media player of some sort, but when i go to that site, most of those links are not highlighted and the few that are highlighted, if i click on them, it says the media content is not compatible, like urs said...
My tilt played them but it was windows mobile phone and had windows media player, but im not sure if a PDA is to be considered having windows mobile operating system..
oh and just to let u know that site did not work with skyfire... the links were there and they all were highlighted, but when u clicked on them, the site did nothing. In had to use IE to open that page and click on the links...then it was fine.
for what its worth, i tried to stream using a blackberry bold (if any phone is a pda, this is it) and it gave me an error: The protocol specified is not supported by the handheld. Please try a different URL.

In order for my hubby to sync his impression with Outlook I put Samsung New PC Studio the version that comes with my Samsung Eternity on his cp and syncing with Outlook is possible, plus this version has more options.

Good to know. I plan on picking up an impression as an upgrade to my trusty BlackJack 1. As long as I can sync to Outlook should be easy, but otherwise no go. I have never been able to find a way to backup all contacts to Sim on the Blackjack, only can do 1 at a time I think.
