Tour Anyone?

Wow, I sees what I like, and I likes what I sees! This sure looks like it is one sweet phone. It would be the perfect replacement for the 8830.

Interestingly, according to that page, it does both US and European freq's for GSM, but only European 3G on the GSM side.

Yeah it really is supposed to be the replacement to the 8830 except that added a camera IIRC

Ditto but for my 8830. I'm sure that USCC will get it given the other BB's that have come both our way and VZW's way. Aside from the Storm we have the dame BB line-up. Like most others I'm sure we'll get it a few months after VZW.

Mine as well, unless maybe Storm clouds appear. In that case, it could be a toss-up.

Officially announced: http://crackberry.com/rim-introduce...tour-smartphone

VZW is getting it, so is Sprint: http://www.engadget.com/2009/06/16/...later-this-sum/

If USCC does not get this phone I am jumping ship, like my 8330 but I need something way more powerful.

This phone might keep me from going to Sprint and getting a Pre.

Coming from someone rocking a Hint.

The Tour has the great keyboard of the 8830 plus a 3.2mp camera, 256mb of on-board memory, one of the most gorgeous screens you've ever seen on a phone, plus improved styling.

For Blackberry users it's pretty much everything you could ask for at this point.

You Blackberry worshipers crack me up, RIM could put out anything and you would go nuts about it. Minor upgrades in my opinion, RIM could be doing more, but they know they have you sucked in and all it takes is a few little things to make you guys happy.

I'm far from a BB worshiper, I actually prefer WinMo.

But since you think these are minor upgrades...what would you consider to be major upgrades? What improvements would you like to see in a BB?

From crackberry: A replacement to the popular BlackBerry 8830 World Edition, the BlackBerry Tour will with time roll out to CDMA carriers including Verizon, Sprint, Alltel, Bell, Telus and likely everywhere the 8830 was sold.
