Question nokia 3600 bluetooth internet

I travel extensively on business and have found hotspots to be an unreliable method of staying connected. So a *friendly* salesman recommended that I purchase the Nokia 3600 and connect wirelessly using the cellphone as a modem. The bluetooth connection between devices (phone and Ipaq 2215) is working well, but when I try to connect to the internet the phone displays an error message indicating that it could not find a modem. Nokia tech support referred me here! Is anyone successfully using the 3600 as a bluetooth modem? Can you help me with configuration?

I have a 3650 and was able to connect to the internet through T-mobile. I don't think you could just dial out with your Ipaq like a regular modem. You have to dial out a code depending on which service you're using. Which service provider are you using?
