Talking A570 Release date?

Just wondering if anyone knew a rough release date for the A570. As you all know from my incessant whining, I love the tinyform factor of my V8162 and constantly complain about the A500 being too large, even though I am planning on buying it. But I might hold out for the very much smaller A570 if it is not more than a month or 2 in the future.

Conversely I am sure I can sell the A500 on ebay later on when the A570 comes out, so we shall see.

A500 too large?!? did you actually see it live?
Well, in the photos it looks bigger than actual so...
I was actually really surprised how small and thin A500 was...
And trust me, I hate big, thick phones with passion too.
A570 will probably be one of the last samsung phone coming out this year, so I say prolly around December, assuming there's no delays.

I guess that is possible, since samsung releasing it and sprint reselling it to consumers is a different story. But Samsung-wise, they're all planning to release it within this year. (maybe they got some more goodies coming out for 2003)

Well, the A500 is virtually the same size as the Sanyo 5150 except it is much thinner, so for me that is HUGE. But it does look sleek and we will see how it fits in the hand!!

So from what you guys say I will have to wait until the end of the year best scenario for the A570, ok that makes up my mind. I am going for the A500 and just replace it when the A570 comes out.

Im really psyched about the games, saw a pic of the Spaceshipgame and it looks killer, very NES retro looking.

While I don't know when the A570 will be out. Let me tell you it will be smaller than the A500, smaller than the A310. IT's currently a Korean release model. If you want to see the CDMA 800 vesion they have it as an import in Kroean stores in NYC. It's labeled as the SCH-X570. Beautiful., and smaller than any phone out in the US to date. Even GSM.
It's a shame because I got hooked on the phone when I saw it i Korea, but it pains me that it's coming out for Sprint. I still won't switch to Sprint even for a phone as impressive as the 570.

You Sprint guys and your phones make me jealous. Same thign with the T-Mobile people. Why do Verizon phones have to suck? I had to buy a Korean import last year because the hottest phone back then was the Moto. V60 or the LG 510. Oh please. What crap.

The A540 is launched of all places in Canada. Go take a look in the Telus forum. They will also launch the A520 in that market as well.

Dont worry. Verizon will have this baby soon. Code named "Jupiter". I was following this phone for a long time. The design has certainly gotten better than the initial concept. Oh yeah here is the link.

Is it the same thing?

Is this Jupiter the 570? It looks like the 570 coming for Sprint and the 530 aka Jupiter for Verizon are different phones. Different shape, different external display, even different buttons. I've held the Korean X570 and I'm very happy with that. I like the 570 because of the styling of the shell and the styling of the external display. THe phonescoop listing of the 570 shows a very different looking phone than the 530 or the Jupiter as it is being called.
Since all of this is all rumors, is it the consensus that the 570 and the 530 are the same phones, because to me they look very different in the phonescoop pictures? The 570 looks very close to the Korean version while the 530 does not.
Alot of the Korean phones are similar in features, with color display, clamshell style, etc.

Sorry if I confused you. I should've deleted your first paragraph when I quoted. When I said "this" baby is coming to verizon, I meant the A530. My apologies. Yes the A570 and the A530 are very different.

If this forum supported URL masking, I could've made the "this" word into a hyperlink.

It's fine. You should be careful about that. You brought my hopes up, and then just destroyed them. It's the 570 I want.

So is there any rumor that the 570 will make it to Verizon?
Someone please say yes.

Yeah! That is the phone I am waiting on, it is truly small. My prediction would be not until the first 2 months into the new year if we are lucky. They have not said anything within Sprint's intranet site about this phone, the only two I have seen that they are gearing the employees up for is the Sanyo 5300 (mid November) and the Nokia 3585 (around Christmas) I can't wait for the a570, but until you see Sprint mention it in the intranet site it is a 50/50 chance we will actually see it for Sprint. I have not heard anything about Sprint carrying this phone except for on Phonescoop.com
