The past 18 hours, I recieved 8 reported posts, all about software and/or unlocking. To give you an example, I usually remove 2 or 3 a day, and recieve about 1 or 2 reported posts in a 24 hour period. This means it has gotten out of hand, and people can't read.

From now on, there will be no warning. Anymore software requests (as in for warez, like PST, MSS, etc) and anymore requests for unlocking will result in an immediate 30 day ban, OR MORE. This is non-negotiable, if you can't read the rules, you don't belong. This is posted both in teh rules button at the top of the screen, the and the stickies in the Motorola Forum.

The ONLY link allowed to Motorola Mobile Phone Tools allows on this forum is the one from HP. That means that any other version (i.e. a ripped retail version) will also fall under this catagory.

The old sticky containing the rules has mergered with MartianViking's post.

If you do get banned, and wish to discuss it, contact me or Moderator HF 12 via e-mail at HF11@howardforums.com or HF12@howardforums.com. Don't make a second screenname, that will result in both names being perminently banned from the forums, as per forum rules.

Posting links to sites that host warez is also not permitted. We do check out sites as quickly as we can and will either remove them or ban/censore the url if it gets out of hand.

The disadvantage of censoring a URL is that some of these sites have legit apps and firmware. If Mod HF 12 or I have to resort to censoring a URL then there goes that source of firmware/flexes. Be smart.
