Talking New V710 Software 8700.01.40.0R
Well it looks like Verizon is going to be getting new software for the V710. If it make it thur the test phase which I am doing right now. Well it looks like they have turned OFF the copy and move in the Media Gallery/Sounds. This was done so you can not tranfers ringers to the phone memory from the transflash card. This SUXs. Does anyone know what seem this is to enable? I will be getting the full release notes tomorrow to share more. Any thougts?

What?

You can't move ringers/wallpapers from the card to the phone?

You can't be serious.

Only in the sound it is disabled. In the pics it still is turned on.

No the "OR" does not stand for OverRide that is the real full software version.

Not to sound doubtful.. but he only has 2 posts.

If it is true, then I will be sticking with my current software. The TF slot is the only reason I am keeping this phone over the v265.

Well I thought with all the media we got with how upset we were with the disable features(bluetooth). That THEY would of learned to just let people do what they want to do with there own equimpent and NOT restrict it!

well, i know i'll be waiting for a while before doing the software update if/when it comes out. i'm happy right now with my tf card and my usb card reader.

once I get bluetooth for my pc, then i'll start complaining about bluetooth not working right.

also, can we get a screenshot of your phone? not that i doubt you, but we've had a few people claim to have an updated firmware but they were total BS.

cool.. more cred in my book. i'm not one to think someone would just photoshop it.

thanks! hopefully this version of the firmware won't make it to my phone if the copy/move to tf feature is removed. i'll be pissed.

Well I was able to enable the option to copy and move in the sound section thru seem 41a. However when selected it says "unable to move or "copy"" which ever I select. Any ideas if I were you flash the old flex into the phone which has the new software?

Do people really fake things like this? Who and for what reason would I fake this? What do I have to gain..Some post on a forum that amount to nothing. I dont think so!!!What I want is to find other people like me who can help me and others that want a fully functional phone, which they paid for.
