my hybrid w750i

its probably done by many users already but want to show some pics of my frankenphone.

got the full fascia from ebay, my intentions were to do a complete makeover to a w800, but as i gutted the phone, i just could not muster the courage to pry the motherboard, ribbons, etc off the body of the phone, so i did a half as$ed facelift and i was pleasantly surprised. i have stopped passersby, and gotten more looks with this mod in a couple of days than with the month old k750i. it stands out and yet maintains its professionalism.

*i strongly suggest a plastic pry tool if this mod is to be done
*make sure to order the front fascia with the lcd screen cover together (mine were separate)
*audio on the phone got louder but predominantly treble heavy. has something to do with the speaker grill and housing acoustics
*camera lens cover is active (i still dont know what triggers it)
*keys are much more comfortable. most especially the softkeys and shortcut key
*joystick is more prominent

without further ado w750i:

@ augustborn99 - great work buddy! The thing I love about the K750i and the W800i is the interchangability (doh .. spellcheck) of the WHOLE casing! I favour the W800i orange centre and the K750i silver front/back setup

@ 1hk-boi - Lordy - is that you? Hey, I hope "1hk-boi" is NOT "1HongKong- BOY!!" :laughs: Anyways, what's that you're asking .. ?

@ hellbelly - aww crap! There is DEFINITELY someone who has done the orange/black combo, but I'm b******d if I can remember where I saw it!

The forums I visit regular are: HoFo. M-R, Se-nse, Esato and eXpansys. I'll trawl thru them but you maybe wanna try to ..

@ w000t - that's exactly what hellbelly is looking for .. !

@ Duo64 - I kinda thought that as well when I first saw it, but it kinda grew on me! It looks good with the default orange W800i theme - any other theme might just look pants!

I favour the W800i orange middle and the K750i silver front/back combo if it wasn't for the black screen surround and softkeys .. !!

I like it better than the orange W800i. The Silver/White/Orange combo looks sharp. The keypad layout is also better.
