New Seem found

Ok, folks.. I've found a few seems of interest to us. But I'm only willing to publish one just yet.

Are you tired of having to reset your MPT to the e815m drivers? Want MPT to recognize your already seem edited (2742 6A/0) e815 AS an e815m?? Then this is your seem.

Seem 2827, rec 1, length 22 - Offset 0008, enable bits 0-2-3-6

More to come as I find them...

(I don't know of any place this or any other seem I post has been discovered/uncovered for the e815. Sorry if I refind others)

It announces to software inquiring (MPT) the fact it's an E815M not just an E815. So, once done, you can Install a new phone, and let it do it's thing. You won't have to point to the e815m drivers.

Can you contact me on AIM/MSN? I want to compare seem notes, I mapped most of 2472, and I want to see if anything you found can be made to full work by enabling another seem in 2472

Offset/bit
1d/3 Startup Animation (1=Full animated, 0=Logo Only)
31/0 Shutdown Logo (1=Enabled, 0=Disabled/Off)

Opp was only qualified on ENGINEERING handsets, the consumer E815s DO NOT HAVE OPP and they were never qualifed by Bluetooth SIG to have OPP like the engineering ones so dont get your hopes up. the only wat to get OPP is if u flash ur firmware with an egineering models firmware

Here is a seem mapping page for the E815 that I have used since I got my e815. There is also a V710 seem map linked on that page. The seems I've "found" are from a conversion from v710 and GSM seems.

http://www.nuclearelephant.com/papers/e815seem.html

And quite honestly, I have no need for OPP. Do I haven't even bothered looking for that one. I'm just glad my MPT is finally working FLAWLESSLY.

I tried these two and the shutdown logo is gone but in the startup animation only the middle part which looks like bubblepac is gone. The HELLOMOTO screen appears, the music plays over it, and then the Verizon animation comes on. Is this what you get? Sure would like to get rid of that music.

I do not have the VZW animation. It was one of the first modifications I made in July.

To rid yourself of the music, edit/replace the file ui_start_up_mono.mp_ located in the /motorola/shared/system folder. I do not recommend outright deletion of the file. I do not know how the phone will react without one. Perhaps others in the know on this would be willing to share. I use the startup_mono from the Motomodders V1 skin.
