I gave up waiting for this phone from HP & upgraded my Treo 600 to a new Treo 650 for $29.99. Cingular offering $150.00 mail in rebate!
The discount on a new plan can't be that great so if I really want it... I'll buy it off ebay but most likely I'm skipping this phone. I hate the hype & misinformation about release dates!
i think I'm done waiting for this phone too, sadly. I'll just pick up the thinnest, lightest phone with bluetooth I can find. sorry HP you take too long. WM5 sounded good but after waiting this long without it...I don't really see a need for it anymore!

I don't understand. What hype and misinformation? It was released overseas and in Canada and everything we heard was "late July, Early August". If it gets delayed a bit, well, that's the same as every other phone us internet nerds wait on....every phone that is released that is worthy of buying.
If you guys wish to buy a new phone then by all means go ahead... it isnt late july yet and early august isnt close... this phone will launch 4 cingular on august 8th... i promise you!

How can you promise that when the device is still in testing? And not exactly ready to finish I might add.

Gizmodo is reporting it will be released as soon as next week along with the HTS Startreck... I happen to think that there prediction is wrong on the HP at least.
hmm...it isn't even on the August device launch list. that doesn't look good, considering the v3i has been on there since May or June.
what do you mean? what launch list? From what i have heard from 2 sources now the date is august 8th... I dont know if its right... What doesnt look good!
And i have seen that all over the net today... something about this is bothering me... If cingular isnt going to be carrying the 6500's anymore... and its virtually impossible to find them in almost any cingular store... and their launching a new one... why would they have a rebate on the 6500's?
