I'm hoping to avoid doing seem edits whenever I first get the phone. Maybe I can workup the cajones a couple months after i get the phone to do a little hackin.
It's a 1:55 minute concert 24-7 Spyz CBGB. The file is 86.4 MB 3gp copied to 512MB TF took 20 mins to copy. It shows the entire minutes in the video player. So far it plays as expected. I will post pictures after the BB game.
The default maximum recording using the phones camera no matter where you record to, phone or Transflash is 15 seconds on the v3m. A very simple seem change can increase it to almost any amount of time. I set mine to four minutes.
I also successfully edited the arcconfig.ini file, setting it to '180', as my microSD is pretty much maxed with my music library.
I know we're in new territory here, but has anyone ever attempted to find a way to fix the resetting counter issue? (Timer goes to 59, resets to 0, and does not increment the minutes as it keeps recording.)
-Extended Video Duration-
Connect your phone to your pc via USB. Open Bitpim. (or P2Kcommander) Go to Filesystem Tab Navigate to brew/mod/arcmedia Right click on arcconfig.ini file and Save it to your desktop Edit the file using notepad or any text editor (Find the line VidDuration and change the number to 120) Save the file In bitpim right-click on arcconfig.ini file and choose Overwrite. Pick the file from your desktop. After it overwrites, close bitpim, unplug phone, and thats it.
When recording video, the counter will go to 00:59, then 00:00, and it will keep going untill it reaches 00:00 2 times. Step by step instruction credit goes to Blazer380
Four Minutes (setting VidDuration to 240) Takes up about 2.5 MB on your card, so if you do the math, you could set it long enough to record for hours, and still have room on a 1 GB card.
i opened bitpim. i don't see the filesave nav. what am i doing wrong? also, i tried to copy the phonebook on the phone but bitpim thinks i have a v3cont a v3m. is there something i need to do?
