I am having the same issue ever since I updated mototools. The icon is no longer there. Surely others have encountered this problem??

Do you have a Verizon phone? If so, the phone's internal ID String is E815... which does NOT support the MultiMedia Options (because Verizon disabled that ability on the phone itself...) therefore the MultiMedia Studio icon will NOT show when MPT AutoDetects the phone...

To get it to show... use MPT's SETUP menu -> General Setup -> Communication tab -> Change Modem -> click Next -> (select device screen, highlight your Moto USB modem) -> click Next -> check the box for "Do not automatically detect the driver -> click Next -> Select CDMA from the left column. select E815M, and click Next and finish. It should go back to Initializing on the MPT screen, but should connect. From the icons on the right, you should now see Multimedia Studio in the icon bar on the right.

NOW, since Verizon disabled the feature on the phone... you must SEEM EDIT the phone to re-enable it... (SEEM 2742, offset 6A, Bit0, "check the box")...

BUT since you say you had the MultiMedia Studio Option before, and it was working... then you must have already done the 2742/6a/bit0 edit.....

NOTE: This info may also apply to other CDMA carriers who sell/use the E815...

did you happen to UPGRADE MPT? did MPT happen to try and "autodetect" your phone again?

Did you notice I typed the instructions on how to manually config it so the MMS Icon shows again? did you try that???

re-read my post again....

Many thanks. Did the trick.

For those who don't know, F6 brings up the setup menu.

Thanks again.
