Looks like they got enough heat over this to change it back. They are changing back to the former guildlines. Not profitable customers are now eleigible again.

I think agents should be prohibited on speaking about corporate policies... LOL j/k
But for real, a lot of agents make something up or do not have the sources a company employee would have and ruins it for the agents that are in the know. But yeah... ruins the hold credibility thing.
I can confirm that the LTV1 accounts I saw today have had their eligibility restored, and yes the policy is to be changed.
a better choice of words...re-worked.

I pissed off enough, haha. Although I don't like having to give a customer everything they want just because they complain, I'd rather do that than argue with them why they couldn't get a discount on an upgraded phone.
At least it's easier this way. I wonder how many unprofitable customer's Cingular lost in this process?

No one ever said that it was cancelled. All they have done is "reworked" the eligibility for it. There may still be some LTV1's that will not qualify for an upgrade. I haven't received the official word, but that is my understanding of it.
I feel that Cingular really f*cked up here and they know it. It was wrong of them to even consider this when they lock people into 2yr contracts. They also like to pile on fees. It's all BS like a previous poster said. I honestly don't care if a company thinks a person is profitable or not. If a person signs up for services and is locked into a contract and they pay their bill, there is no reason for Cingular to pull this crap. Cingular offered certain services for certain prices. People pay those prices for those services. It is wrong for Cingular to decide to turn around and try and say you don't get the same deals as the person next to you even though he/she pays the exact same you do. Whoever decided this needs a serious reprimand or even get fired.

this whole protocol was a joke just like the cingular board that makes these descisions. they need to fire stan sigman or revoke his yearly bonus, and demote the whole board. like i said b4, for every step that we take forward those bums then makes us take 3 back. it was a stupid policy just like the roaming clause. i think its too late, and the damage has already been done just from word of mouth, and the only company makin a profit off of this is verizon. here in the GLR market, verizon does 3 cingular port-ins to our 1 from them. and its not cause they have better service, its because they are run better.

Looks like this agent knows what the F$%^ he is talking about huh soop?
As vocal as I was about this policy, I don't think removing this restriction was necessarily the right move. Now you're giving people like this undeserving customer http://www.howardforums.com/showpos...440&postcount=4 something for nothing.
I just think they needed a better implementation.
