Un-official HTC TYTN Thread, start posting your hacks, tips, tricks, and impressions
since all the tytn feed back is posted in so many different threads we could start one here.
so here we go my first impression
i have had my TYTN for 24 hrs and so far i love it
jogwheel is great! i love that you can click it instead of hitting the ok button
most reviews showed them hitting the ok button right below it. Added speed is always a bonus. I also like the keyboard layout over the k-jam,the camera seems to be great as long as you have good lighting, voice quality seems better to.i am pleased with the overall volume of the device hands free volume is nice and lound i find the overall sound to be an improvement on the k-jam (so dont worry about the speaker).
from my experience it seems to depend on what apps you're using and what you have on the today screen. I was experiencing the lag before but i just did a hard-reset and the only "extra" thing i have on my today screen is agile messenger.. and it's much faster...anyone else's thoughts?

ya i think im gonna do a hard reset tomorrow and see what happens if i recall it was fast and i noticed it after i loaded wisbar beta and my weather plugin
also i find my delete button sticks abit has anyone noticed this i have to press it twice as hard as any other button to make it work.

Question for owners: Anybody got a digital version of the manual?
I dunno why, but the manual acts as its own review, and it answers most of the common questions people have...Imagine that :P Not to be snarky or anything...
While I hardly ever read the manual when I actually own the device, I love to read them while I'm shopping, espeically for devices as complex and expensive as a PDA.
Is it just me or do there seem to be too many hardware issues with HTC devices (albeit minor issues). Can it be possible that HTC sped things up and compromised on quality?
In short, the problems i have read so far...
1) Front camera having some kind of covering
2) Keyboard problems mentioned above
3) White screen (contact problem)
Can't think of anymore, will add if i remember anything...

The back button on mine also requires a harder push than the usual to work. Every button has the same satisfying click though.
Also, I have to say that this phone has one of the best RF qualities I have seen in a phone (and the best of any pocket pc or smartphone). My house has pretty pathetic T-mobile reception (0-1 bars), and this phone has rarely lost reception. The few times that it has, it picks the signal back up in no time. Oh, and the phone feels very solid in the hand too.
