Sony HBH-DS970

Has anyone bought this stereo headset yet. This looks to be the best one i have seen out there as far as features and style. I have used both moto and iTech's stereo headsets and I didnt care for them. They were far to bulky and tend to leave your ears actually sore after prolonged use. This sony model, looks like it will solve both issues, so Im looking forward to hearing any comments you all may have!

If you are using the 810i, it will not stream music from your phone because the phone doesn't have A2DP.....I made the same mistake when I purchased the w800. I just assumed that if it was bluetooth and I had bluetooth headphones the music would stream. This would just make to much sense

no, they are built in. Supposedly they sound pretty good. I am going to compare them to my Shures when my ds970 arrives tomorrow.

very nice deadset, I am just testing it. I could connect it to my PC (IBM TabletPC X41T) and am listening to music using iTunes now. However, I could not get the mic. on the head set to work as a voice input device for the PC. Therefore, I could not use it with Skype or MSN messenger. I have tried to set the voice input to "Bluetooth Audio" as well as "Bluetooth High Quality Audio" with no success.

Has anbody succeeded in using the mic. with a PC?

Thanks

since there has been no response, the last question repeated in different words:

did anybody succeed in pairing this headset with a PC such that not only the headphone is working but also the mic? This would be necessary to use it for bot hearing stereo and VOIP.

thanks

I just got this SE DS970 headset and it work fine with my Nokia 8801. All functions work except for displaying the name of the caller and the song title. The range is rather weak...no more than 10-12 feet away from the phone; more than that will cause skipping in the song.

Anyone got a good suggestion for case for these? I know SE includes a little plastic case (the hinge which will probably break in a week or so). I'm thinking a small leather pouch case - any ideas?
