The Official Mac and KRZR K1m Thread (and iSync support for KRZR K1m tutorial)

For those of us lucky enough to have a mac
iSync support for KRZR K1m

Usual Disclaimer...My info: Powerbook g4, Bluetooth, iSync v2.3 OS 10.4.8

In the Finder, control-click on the iSync application and choose Show Package Contents.

Drill down to the following:
Contents -> Plugins -> ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice -> Contents -> Plugins -> PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin -> Contents -> Resources.

In that folder, open MetaClasses.plist in text edit or pico(make a backup first!)

add the following code. save and reopen isync.

PHP Code:
 <key>com.motorola.krzrK1mVerizon</key>
    <
dict>
        <
key>Identification</key>
        <

            <

In an effort to keep things organized, take a look at the Motorola KRZR K1m Threads of Interest thread before posting.

Title edited. Let this thread become the new Mac and K1m thread, like we've had for other phones.

Sync'd all of my contacts very fast. Calender still does not work. You can change the code above to reflect update calender True instead of false and adds the options to iSync but it still does not work.

This should work with any version of iSync...I do not have another mac to test it.

Is there a specific place this needs to be pasted, each time I edit the metaclass file it comes back as not supported, and my V3c and V3i are no longer supported (Red Stops Signs)

You just follow the layout of the code. If you have an any issues just copy back the file you backed up.

I have attached my file incase someone did not make a backup.
Attached Files
File Type: zip MetaClasses.plist.zip (6.0 KB, 1258 views)

Thanks for the file posting, I could not get my version to work, but yours works flawlessly. Guess I still have a lot to learn about Macs and file editing. thanks again.

Thank you for posting this. I downloaded your MetaClasses.plist file, and replaced my current file with this one, but it will not pair with my phone. I'm pretty good at following instructions, but for some reason this is not working for me.

Maybe you could try adding another string for 2006?? not sure if it will help.

PHP Code:
 <string>"Motorola CE, Copyright 2006"+KRZRK1m</string

Here is a good site explaining how iSync "syncs" LINK

Oh my gosh! Thank you so much. Adding this string worked! It paired in iSync, and works just as it should. Again, I can't thank you enough!

Hi, sorry if this is a little off topic from iSync, but it is mac related....how do i get songs (in mp3 or acc) that I already have on my mac onto the phone so I can play them on it? I've tried transferring them via the transflash with an adapter in my mac, but they won't show up in the phone when i go to the music player....any ideas?
