AIM problems with Blackberry Pearl

I was just wondering, do any of you have problems when using AIM on your phone? When i sign on initially, it works fine, but then after awhile..it says sending error, or network failed, then the people im chatting with, dont receive my IM's nor do i get theirs? it's quite annoying actually? any fixes on this?

another thing, when i set the LED for instant messaging to light up...howcome it only does it initally..then after that..it doenst blink purple anymore..it blinks red?

I too have had network issues with AIM on my Pearl. I don't know what would have triggered the problems. My guess, well, for my case, is that I am in a bad cell zone.

Yeah the thing gives an error once in awhile. That's why OZ sucks and you should really look into 3rd party software for a better IM client. I recommend Yak-On, IM+ or GoogleTalk especially! Keep in mind the OZ uses SMS too! =|

Can't answer that question about the light though......

Thank you for the recommendations, ladylime. Do these apps use SMS or data?

yes.. follow the directions, the third post on that link has the proper .rar file link for the .dll files.

once you set it all up on your desktop.. all of your msn or aim contacts will appear on your BB gt client.

There really is nothing to do on your Blackberry. It's all done on your desktop.
