Windows users only, with a Mac release expected shortly. This does not jailbreak the iPod touch--iPhone only for now.

Now you may be wondering how this jailbreak works. Here's a breakdown:
- iBrickr grabs the 1.1.3 iPhone firmware image and extracts, decrypts, and decompresses the disk image.
- Then it applies a patch, jailbreaking the disk image and activating it, and also installing Installer.app.
- It uploads this new modified image to the phone, as 113_upgrade_image.bin.
- The "1.1.3 soft upgrade" app flashes the phone with the image and reboots.
- You have a perfect, jailbroken, upgraded 1.1.3 phone, with all your settings and music intact
Here a Mirror Nates Site is getting hammered. LINK
If you are already on 1.1.3, see our simple downgrade guide HERE .
STATEMENT OF RISK
As all upgrades are risky, this one is doubly so. You may have to restore your phone using iTunes and start again if it fails. Make sure to back up first!

my understanding is that 113 filesystem breaks most current 3rd party apps, so what is the point right now?
Also, does this version allow you to keep the current baseband intact?
Also, when will you have a guide for downgrading an otb 113 phone so that it can ne jailbroken? I notice all the stickies are gone and I have no idea if there was already a guide? For that matter why are the stickies gone?

actually. More importantly. If you do have a jailbroken 111 and perform the update, can you downgrade if need be to jailbreak it again if you have to restore the phone? Ericas blog said that the update was a 1 way street right?
The key to restores is the bootloader, with 3.9 you can downgrade to 1.1.1 if required, including baseband.
Also this jailbreak bundles a 1.1.3 firmware upgrade into it, but not basebad update to 4.3 at all - so all previous unlocks will hold, given bb isn't upgraded.
People need to digest all these implications when deciding what to do
I am a little confused. My Verizon phone was able to roam on GSM because they used TDMA. Tell it was shutdown. The phone recognizes it as Analog. If PCS has TDMA, It could be technically be used on GSM.
