Here's a simple way to find out. Go to www.vzw.com/international and then click on "international text messaging" and your answer will be right there. I'll even make it easier for you with this "lazy link" Intl. Text Messaging

a yes or no would be easier than trying to decipher shifty words in the links...
while it says that you are charged per international text, it doesn't mention texting plans at all... without a texting plan, i'm charged $0.15/text... though, i have unlimited, all i'm asking is weather or not this applies to international.
Can i please get someone on here that isn't a smartass and give me a direct answer?
Sorry, I couldn't resist. It was just too easy. Anyway...
Unlimited texting is for US texting. You will get charged the extra premium for making international texts REGARDLESS of your plan and depending on where you are when you initiate or receive texts.
While traveling in the U.S., text messages sent to non-U.S. phone numbers of participating carriers are charged the following:
$0.25/address sent
$0.20/message received
While traveling outside the U.S., the text messaging rates are:
$0.50/address sent
$0.05/message received
These text messages are not applied against your monthly text messaging bundled allowances.

Although Canada often falls into the US rates when it comes to this it seems.
My gf and I (both of us live in US) are on Verizon and subscribed to Verizon's $10 IN Messaging package so mobile to mobile texts are pretty much free in the US.
Now she took her phone over to Taiwan (and somehow she gets service?) and we have been texting...does anyone know if the rates mentioned on Verizon's site apply to either of us?

She has a US number so it doesn't seem we will get charged...so far I looked on myverizon account onthe site and it's being registered(listed) as M2M txt...instead of Int. Txt
