Noticed something interesting when my univeristy's network went down. I tethered my cell phone to my computer and when I would go to www.google.com I was redirected to www.google.com.pr . The IP i must've been assigned was/is a Puerto Rico IP. Kind of interesting, I thought.

Weird. I only get that happening if I choose Puerto Rico for the country in the Regional Options in Control Panel (Windows XP) or the Settings panel (Pocket PC). I always though that Google detects this setting and redirects you automatically.

That normally happens when you use foreign proxies.
