i have the 3300 and the head set has to be attached, so im pretty sure escen is right. he is a smart guy, listen to him. he has helped me out plenty of times.

Yeah, the 3300 doesn't have an internal FM antenna either...I always wondered about why you had to have the headset attached, until I noticed that moving the phone didn't help reception, but moving the headphones did..
thats cause the headset is the antenna for the 3300 as well as the 3200......most of nokia's older phones are like that. the newer models have upgrades....
