Is it true that the OEM version ships with AIM pre-installed?? Also...does this allow you to use iTap within the AIM application. Also, are you able access Get It Now or something similar?

Would i be able to get the files via PST 6.2? I have that and all the data cable. Another thing is will this have any possibility of screwing up my phone? If so, im getting another OEM in like less than a week, and id rather just do it when i have a backup.
If you have PST installed , you should be able to use bitpim without any problems. With BitPim you will only be downloading the files from the phone, as long as you dont overwrite any files you can't mess anything up. The seem files cannot be modified with bitpim so you would not have to worry about overwriting them. Don't do anything your not comfortable doing though. You might want to install BitPim, take a quick look and see what you think. You can't hurt anything by just browsing the file structure.

Couldn't he send it down to Enginerring and have it flashed by them? Also... I know this is a far out question. But your v710m by any chance doesn't have Java does it? And what about Themes? Does it have that option enabled? And can you please talk to your friend and see if you would be able to get AIM installed in the phone, and possibly and other things put on the phone some how?
