Blue screen "UART CONN emergency down loading" message
Messed up and replaced my wallpaper image with a similarly sized and named jpg to see if it would change the wallpaper, and now my phone won't get past the opening Verizon splash screen. After 2 or 3 minutes, it switches over to a blue screen with white text that says "UART CONN - NORMA MODE DOWN LOADING" indefinitely. I have a USB cable, but Gagin and Bitpim can't see the filesystem so I can't undo my mistake. I'll try anything at this point, even if it means wiping out my current ringtones and pictures.
Does anyone else have another idea or am I biting the bullet and going to a Verizon store? Thank you in advance.
Blue screen says "UART CONN emergency down loading"
Can anyone help me unfreeze my phone. It froze and I restarted it by removing the battery and now a blue screen says: "UART CONN emergency down loading"

I too am having the same problem. I have a Samsung 650 and I may have dropped it but now it says emergency download and wont say anything else! If anyone knows how to fix it please advise!
I am having a similar problem, but my screen says UART CONN NORMA MODE DOWNLOADING. When I see it I pull the battery. The only problem I am having is my phone occasionally just shuts off during a conversation, but immediately powers back up. Went to verizon and the only thing they could suggest was to buy a new phone. Noone seems to know what is going on. Can anyone help. I also have a Samsung 650.
I didn't do anything to my phone (Samsung 650), but I am getting the same message. I have pulled the battery everytime I see it. The only problem is now my phone shuts off occasionally during conversations, but immediately powers back up. I went to Verizon and the only suggestion they could offer was buy a new phone. Did you get the matter resolved and how???

We got that message on an A610 that had been in a pocket that had wine spilled on it. Any moisture issues recently?
FWiW, we "solved" thar problem by leaving the phone sitting on a hot dashboard for 20 minutes -- it cooked the water out of the system, and we replaced the battery and rebooted. It's still working today...
BTW, the a610 is currently going on Ebay for $65 including 100 minutes on PagePlus (which is a prepaid that uses CDMA/Verizon networks). Don't spend more than you have to.

on my Samsung a650, last night I got a blue screen with the text " USB Conn Emergency Down Loading" Could not access the phone, even after removing the battery and reinstalling the break the power connection. Thoughts? Thanks!
my Samsung a650 last night became inoperative. I kep getting a blue screen with the text " UBS Conn - Emergency Down Loading". Couldn't get the phone to turn on or respond, even after replacing the battery.
