Class Action vs. VZW

Class Action:

The Class Action Lawsuit is being handled by Laura DiGirolamo

Kirtland and Packard, (310) 536-1000, 2361 Rosecrans Ave Ste 450, El Segundo, CA 90245

If anyone is from California, it would make the results quicker to get.

The Bluetooth issue. Check here for more about it.

http://www.nuclearelephant.com/papers/v710.html

Verizon sold the V710 without disclosing that the Bluetooth profiles were limited and not the same as the other phones sold as having Bluetooth.

They also did not comply with the industry standard "Mobile Phone Guidelines" as implemented by Bluetooth.org without properly disclosing it, although Bluetooth.org qualified the device.

Verizon, Motorola and Bluetooth.org are all being sued for false advertising. There is a good chance that everyone will get a free phone.

Well, I don't know about the class-action lawsuit thing. It seems kind of silly IMO, but I understand where everyone is coming from.

However, the letter that is linked at the bottom of the page RE: ESN Blacklisting is a definite getter. Making copies to send to my representatives today!!

I seriously don't want to sound negative when I say this, but has anyone called the number to find out any more info about this? Anyway... What does the lawsuit entail that if it wins will come out of it? Also, are there any other grounds that the lawsuit is based upon other then what has been said above?

Yes, it's legit all right. A decision is being made right now whether to file the action in California or Nationally.

Any volunteers from California to provide testimony would be helpful because of the laws there.

Nobody really needs to do anything right now, except look at your damages. I spent over 100 hours researching how to fix the phone, had the anguish about being lied to by Verizon and Motorola countless times for 5 months, purchased a Bluetooth car that I could not use as safely as it was designed.

Others may have fees incurred exiting their VZW contracts, or monthly recurring mobile-to-mobile fees if you had to carve up a Family Share Plan to get uncrippled Bluetooth.

Contact that attorney, please. She really wanted someone 'in the know' from California as of Monday.

Just spoke with her. Apparently she's been getting bombarded with phone calls thanks to whoever posted this (d'oh)...at any rate, based on the information she shared (which she's asked me not to release), if they do decide to move forward with this, I suspect they'll clean house.
