There's a little bit of dust under mine, too, but I can only notice it when the screen is off... I hope it doesn't get worse and become annoying with the screen on. I think the only way to prevent dust in there is to use a case, rather than constantly sliding in and out of pockets. I still have 26 days to return it, so we'll see...

This is a sign that the phone is not very made or designed. I have the D500 and it has been under a lot of abuse. Yet the case is sealed tight and there is not a speck of dust underneath the plastic screen.

Have you guys just been keeping it in your pockets? Thats where mine is most of the time and I've been ok, no dust, phone still looks mint. Hope it doesn't happen to mine. My brother's S200 gets dust under the screen too. He opened it up and sealed it with some electrical tape then put the cover back on. But I guess the T809 won't be so easy to open up haha

T809 Dust under screen

Ok so I've had the phone since Monday and it's mainly been in my pocket. I have now noticed that dust and lint has accumulated on the lcd screen under the plastic covering. This is pretty annoying because it's only been a couple of days and there's no way I can clean it.

This happen to anyone else?

yikes... that happened to my i730 motorola and it was damned annoying... I have had my t809 in my pocket a LOT and so far nothing has gotten in there... but I did read somewhere that some others had also gotten some lint in there though.. I think the LCD seal on many of these phones can be hit and miss for it really working or not... or it would seem that way... I am inspecting my phone daily for anything tho...

I keep mine in my pockets, usually clean dress slacks... I handle the phone gently... and yet, there are more and more specks of dust accumulating every day! It is now noticeable with the screen on, and I'm a little concerned since it's only been 5 days. I have about 25 days left to return it, so we shall see. D500 & D600 owners: this dust under the screen thing is not a problem for you at all?

Hasn't been a problem for me and my D600, D415 or E635 sliders. I keep my phones in a pouch type holster with a top flap that secures with velcro.

Yeah at first it didn't bother me but wheneever the background is white it is easily visible. It seems to all be near the top of the screen so maybe there is a hole there.

Also on mine when it's slid up, I can push the screen back a little meaning it bends. This is annoying because it constantly creaks when I"m talking on the phone and I hold the phone to my head.

T809 and its Dusty Screen!!!

Well i had the first of my T809's for 4 days and the dust under the top left corner of screen got so bad that it spread across... i returned it today. The new one that i got - After 4 mins of living in my pocket did the same exact thing! What the heck is going on?!?! did i just happen to get two crappy phones? Is this a common problem with this one? Please tell me that my phones were just not sealed properly. Anyone having this issue or know what i should do? I mean i guess i can just return the phone after 13 days of use and keep getting new ones...

Yes same place on mine too. It's clearly visible when the screen is on. Upper left hand corner. I had the phone for a week now.

try washing your pants with the pockets pulled out so you can get the lint out of them
