Hey i feel bad that no one has commented about this...I just did yesterday with my i415...and it was a slow connection, but it worked and it was Free, as in i checked my balance and it was the same the next day and the day after...so its FREE TOO!!! I did use a Serial cable tho but i dont think that would matter...the i875 should too but will work faster than my i415...hope that helps.
yep. I tether alot myself and its great for the price. I dont mind the speed all that much. But sometimes the ping times can be real nasty even for basic stuff like web browsing. (ive hit 1.5 seconds of lag at times). But like I said, for the price its not bad at all.
I stumbled across Boost thanks to a semi unrelated article on another website. Seems ideal for an inexpensive (if slow) backup data connection.
Of the current phones available does it matter which one I choose? I know there are iden and widen phones, I'm just wondering if they are all widen now. I was looking at the i875 with Bluetooth and an MP3 player.
Incidentally, I called Boost and asked if it was possible to use the phone as a modem for my computer. The response was "Uh, I don't know, I don't think so". I can't say I was too surprised by that answer
Last question, do I just use the the Motorola iden USB drivers?
