Hello,
I am testing an Optimus Elete from Virgin Mobile. My biggest problem is that I am having trouble with the sound quality coming from the earpeice while I am on a call. I have acute ear pain when I hear high pitched, or loud noise due to a medical condition. I cannot use earbuds/bluetooth or anything that clips to or goes inside of my ear at all.
I am talking about t quality of phone calls specifically, not playing music. Just changing the volume isn't working for me. My old verizon dumb phone didn't bother me, but I was very careful when I selected it years ago for its sound quality on phone calls. I wrote to a company which creates equalizer apps for Android about this and the reply was without messing around at the root level (way too advanced for me) of the phone there is no way to do it and the best thing to is find a better sounding phone.
As you know in a Verizon store you can test live phones if you are going on contract, but you can't do this with Virgin or Boost. I need help getting a phone I can afford. We get pretty decent reception here on Virgin, I don't know if it is safe to assume that is the same of Boost, both on Sprint network, but I see myself looking at those two prepaid carriers.
Please, please help! Can anyone tell me what is a good smart or smartish phone around 200 or less on prepaid Virgin or Boost with a quality earpeice on the handset?
many many thanks in advance for your help!!!
(PS I have tried many phone selection bots, and reviews but nothing about sound while on phone calls... My apologies to anyone who finds this post in the wrong place)...
