The only gsm paygo rates I've seen drop in the last three years since the Boost Mobile launched prepaid revolution started (aided and abetted by the sucky economy) are Att's own rates from 25 cents to a dime. (Their text is still a detestable 20 cents each).

H20 is doing away with their high minute monthly plans . I would recommend Page Plus simply because
    1) They do have better coverage then either major gsm carrier overall (Tmo and Att).

2)Their cdma byod approaches that of gsm carriers if not outright equal it.

3)No one can beat their 4 cent a minute year plan for rate value. Not even Ptel.

Paygo has somewhat stagnated during the last three years. H20's 14 cpm rate is from 2008. Gsm has especially fallen behind while monthly plans (with generally no rollover)) gets shoved down our throats.

Unlimited and monthly plans are where the money is obviously. Simple Mobile has NO paygo and they are wildly successful. Common Cents Mobile from Sprint was paygo only and died in a year. Go figure.

Hi fonezfonz, thanks for the help. I think i will invest in a verizon/pageplus cdma phone now and ditch my current gsm phone, hopefully it should pay itself off soon with pageplus.

Hi Guys, i know it is not the right place to post here but any pointers as to if there are and gsm/cdma phones out there which i can use on pageplus and some GSM provider if needed?

Added the new AirVoice option, not really sure if you'd call it a PAYG or a bucket, they do rollover the balance if you top it up before it expires, but you also have to "babysit" it with a new top up every 30 days, or you balance will be lost. It's also not 100% clear if you can add more than $10 at a time.

I also didn't notice the last time I checked AirVoice's website (or is it new?) that they have a 8-10 cent/min PAYG option, somewhat hidden on their website with a more traditional 90-365 day expiration window, but also a $1 monthly maintenance fee that the "new" $10 option doesn't appear to have.

As a sidenote, any logged in HoFo member has the ability to make changes to the wiki as needed. The best bet is to CUT and paste the text in between the HTML tags in to a text editor like Notepad, make the update there, and copy and paste the entire "paragraph" with your updated information back in to the web browser between the HTML tags.

Well done. That is very beneficial. I went to the docs page and downloaded to OpenOffice. All works perfectly. Good information.

Nopes there are there for quite some times now, i like how i can use locked att phones with them and still no hefty att bills.

    The spreadsheet is nice.
There are a few things I'd have included, but perhaps they didn't fit the original model.
Net10 is there, but Tracfone is not, perhaps since actually figuring out the cost is a pain. But the phones are everywhere.
There are more Pageplus plans worthy of including. The texting only plans work great for my teenagers.
I'm looking for something in between PP's $12 plan and TMo's $30 plan. The MMS eat up data on PP and aren't part of their texting plans and PP data is expensive.
