Data notice question?

Can someone please explain this to me? I've had my Lte tablet for about a week and used Pandora, but check the data used out of my GBs?

OK, after some, not so serious, figuring, it looks like I got the notice because I went over 75% of my prorated 9 day's of service!!! And not actually my 2 GB limit.

If there are any would be Verizon pros can you confirm or argue with my guess, because it might just be a bad database Q on Verizon's part?

I'm not sure what your question is exactly? Using 400MB in a week with some Pandora use doesn't seem out of line. As far as the notice, that's also normal. It can take a couple days for Verizon to accurately display your usage. That's why it's a good idea to get some kind of data counter app on the device if you think you need to manage your usage to stay within your limit. I haven't need that, so I don't remember any good ones, I'm sure someone here can chime in though.

To re-phrase my question:

Why did I get that notice when clearly I din't use anywhere nearl 75% of my allowance (401.41MB of 2048.00MB)? The notice was sent yesterday and the bill I quoted was from an hour ago, so that makes for another moot point.

A day on Pandora is using at a rate that will go over 2GB before the month is out. Some people would complain "Why didn't you warn me?"

Data usage when you're in the US and on a VZW tower is updated pretty much real time... especially with the 4G stuff.

IF this is your first week on the plan then most likely you only get a prorated amount of the 2GB plan so you should be very careful.

No, I think I'm ok, I had a Sprint Tab and never gone over 800MB's with it. I was just taking my shiny new Lte tablet out for a walk. To tell you the truth I only use Pandora for about 1-2 hours a week, but I went in to eat and left Pandora running because I answered my phone and forgot.

What I think the warning email should of said is "At the rate you are going, you will use 75% of your data by the end of your billing period". Or some such! LOL

I know Android tablets aren't popular, but for me they do what I need better than any phone...tiny screen and all.

Now that I've said the phone crack, I'm off to run and hide!

EDIT, I just got the prorate bit, and thanks, I'll watch out till Tuesday.

Update: After several CS calls I ran into someone that understood my question, the rest were clueless and said the only way to not get a 10 dollar overage charge was to go up to the next plan.

I NOW have 2MB's left and my proration ends tomorrow, so he said yes you will get billed the 10 bucks, but he added a note so they will take it off...amazing! Amazing that if you get a shinney new Droid phone with one day of proration you too will get hit! Anyone with a new device like that is going to play! :evil:

Btw, after some serious prodding I found out that you could add roadside assistance to a tablet only bill!! Reps kept saying just call from the device :befuddled
