Press release from 2017.05.24 - http://www.verizon.com/about/news/turn-your-house-verizon-4g-lte-home-smarthub

$200 full retail for the hub.

$130/month for unlimited - https://www.dslreports.com/shownews/Verizons-New-SmartHub-LTE-Router-Brings-Unlimited-Data-Home-139650

Who knows what 'unlimited' really means. But for $130 a month, it hopefully comes pretty dang close.

Does this require people's home internet or is it like Sprints magicbox where it's just a outlet?

Any ideas if you can plug in GUDP sim card?

Since you can remove the sim the answer is going to be yes. The question is will verizon be cranky and block data and or send threatening letters for using it with GUDP.

So I wonder if data is counted as hotspot data on the UDP and if you'll get managed after going over 22GB?

It's limited to 10gb of LTE and then 600kps. You can also purchase data up to 40GBs

"The SmartHub is available on Verizon unlimited and is subject to the same 10GB limit as the Jetpack. That said, we recommend the single-line options for people looking for more data. Plans start at 10GB for $60/mo for data only or data and voice for $80/mo. Plans go all the way up to 40GB."

Does anyone know how or if this will affect those who have 4g lte installed? We are currently paying practically this same price for only 30gb.

Why would anyone pay 130 a month for a home router that is throttled after 10 gigs?
