    Possible to use FaceTime via an email address without an activiated phone number on iPhone 6 Plus?

    From past experience, the iPhone sends a silent SMS (in the background) to a +44 number to activate Facetime and iMessages. So, if there’s no SIM card, phone can’t send that text message.
