Are you tired of roaming in the USA and getting back to a horrendous bill?

Do you proactively add travel packs and cost modifiers that lower your roaming costs but ultimately don't understand them, and end up going over anyway?

A roaming option for us Canadians going South of the 49th parallel seems to have come to fruition.

Taking a quick look at the site there are quite a few options. The options that interest me:

    - MicroSim or Standard Sim card at $19.99
    - Costs as low as $3.50 a day for calls / sms / data (Talk and Text and Data)
    - Calls and SMS back to Canada are inclusive
    - Roam on a network that's capable of 42Mbps (I'm guessing it's T-Mobile)

They claim it's about 99% cheaper then a domestic Canadian plan roaming in the USA.
    Frankly, I believe them!

Have a look at the plans. I know what I'll be getting when I go roaming in the USA.

Steve Wozniak, Apple Wunderkind cedes that Android has a few advantages over iOS.
He goes on to name navigation and even, GASP, Voice commands as some of his features that best iOS.

He even surfaced at the Google campus to get his hands on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and it's Ice Cream Sandwich goodness, but ultimately prefers the RAZR.

Now this is an interesting approach to case design:

Nissan is creating a line of iPhone cases which use their 'self repairing' paint which was first found on their cars. While it can't fix major gouges, minor scratches will disappear in about an hour to a week. It's made from ABS plastic which is said to be stronger then most plastics.

The technology is currently in the process of being licensed to NTT Docomo to be used in its phones and is being beta tested in Europe at this time.

Apple Engineers are contacting iPhone 4s owners to try and figure out why they are getting awful battery life.

What remains to be seen is if there is an actual issue which can be fixed via software. Perhaps it's just a case of faster processor, more apps but same sized battery as the iPhone 4.

What do you guys think? Will software fix this or do we have to blame the dual core processor and Siri?

Originating from the The Guardian and then picked up by various other blogs.

This thread has some discussion material about the issue.

Well, well, it turns out that the Porsche designed Blackberry may in fact be real. Personally, it's not my cup of tea but as they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

It first popped up as a wild rumour on Sept 9th but now it appears it may launch on Oct 27th.

What do you think of it?

BlackBerry Tag will also enable friends to instantly add one another as contacts on BBM™ (BlackBerry® Messenger)."

A Day 15 months in the making, June 7th was the last WWDC for Apple. So I followed along the various Blogs like TIPB and Thisismynext and BGR to piece together this blurb for Hofo. It’s going to be abstract, so follow along if you like:

So the event started off with “under my thumb” by the Rolling stones. Appropriate, I think seeing as the phone is basically all touch.

Truth be told It's been a while that I’ve done a review here so i thought why not. I'll admit that I was a bit of a Blackberry Snob only really caring about newer blackberries for a while. I even considered reviewing the iPhone but let's be honest. There's enough iPHone reviews to go around so i never bothered.

I decided to break my Sabbatical and get back into the swing of things with a full featured Android device. The HTC Desire Z. Does it have the specs to compete with today's flash bang gee whiz hardware? Let's find out.

For this review I used an HTC Desire Z on the Bell network that was given to me courtesy of a representative of HTC Canada.

The Desire Z I was given is running Android 2.2 and the Software number is 1.34.666.3
