Verizon Blitz: How to Get Data to Work
First and foremost, this thread is an adaptation of another thread so credits go to him for all of this information as without his guidance and thread, this one wouldn't be possible.
Now onto the show. I'm going to break it down into steps. Let me say that if you mess with any of the other settings that are there that I haven't shown or talked about, you could lock up the phone and render it useless. Just have to put the disclaimer out there since their is always a village idiot somewhere in the village.
Step 1: Download drivers for the phone from here ~ http://www.megaupload.com/?d=32XZ4BWG
(ignore the images within the rar file since they apply to a different service)
Step 2: Install said drivers into the computer after unzipping the files from the rar file.
Step 3: Download the Blitz PST software ~ I can't link this software on this forum but the software is called "TXT 8010 PST". Feel free to use your favorite search engine to find this........(hint hint wink wink)
Step 4: Install said software into the computer.
Step 5: Disable MTP by pressing "*#6870end "
Step 6: Attach data cord to phone while phone is still on and then insert USB portion of data cord into computer.
Step 7: After computer has done the "USB dance" that it does when plugging in something new into the computer, go to the UTStarcom folder inside your program files. Then navigate within that folder to the CA folder and double click the "CCiPST" icon within it to boot up the Blitz software.
Step 8: A program box should pop up with your Blitz phone being shown on the left on a list by itself. Click "Phone Settings". A new window should've popped up.
Step 9: Check "All" on the top left of the new screen which just popped up and then click "Read from Phone" at the bottom portion of this new screen.
Step 10: Now some new info should be filled in which is from your phone. You now need to change some settings in the "Security" tab and the "WAP2" tab. Please don't touch anything else in any of the other tabs. If you do, you could lock up the phone. Anyways, here are some screen shots of the info that you need to change in the security and wap2 tabs. Please make sure it matches exactly what the images have. The only thing that can vary is the homepage as I like google. Without further wait, the images:

With the second image, primary server URL is "ppcgw1.vzwreseller.com" and secondary server URL is "ppcgw2.vzwreseller.com". Just realized that the images aren't so clear. Hope this clears that up.
Step 11: Click "Write to Phone" after double and triple checking that your settings match up with what the images that i have posted in this thread are showing.
Step 12: Close out that box and then click exit on the original screen for the Blitz software after booting it up.
Step 13: Unplug cable from computer, remove it from phone, and re-enable the MTP by pressing "*#6871end"
Now if your phone has happened to say it's in service mode after doing all of this, then just restart the phone and it will be good to go. As of now, when I boot up my web, I'm being taking to yahoo.com despite my homepage being set to google.com. Not sure why this is but it's a minor quirk that I can live with seeing as how the web is fully functional.
Also in regards to other prepaid phones, don't know much. I only have a Blitz so it's all that I've really worked with. I can help others out if you send me screen shots but no promises on my part.
Hopefully this will help out all the other Blitz users that were disappointed in not having web out of the box like myself. Don't burn through the 20mb too fast lol. Enjoy!
