I thought about that, but if you click on the link that zapjb provided, for the Moto G Pure phonescoop shows that it has band 1 in 4G LTE and 1 in WCDMA.

I tried to edit/change the APN on my unlocked Pixel 4a (4G) with a BYOP TF/Verizon SIM but couldn't. I could select the active APN (name) Verizon (apn) VZWINTERNET, the heading changed to Edit APN...
I think the (name) VERIZON is just label, you can try changing it BILLYBOB and see if it still works. It's the (apn)VZWINTERNET that matters, and has to be what the carrier system expects it to be.
On my laptop, the Sprint logo shows up next to the thread title.

When you create a new THREAD, there's a "Prefix" box that lets you select the relevant carrier to display its logo. I guess for some reason the OP decided to select Sprint.

My Moto G Power 2020 was at Android 10/1/2021 update and Google Play 8/1/2021 system update. Didn't see TikTok in list of apps, I probably had deleted it.
After updating, Android at 12/1/2021...
Among the Moto G Pure, Samsung A02s, and the refurb Samsung A51 ($69.99 on TF site now, with a required time card purchase), I would take the A51.
I don't know how reliable the info at phonescoop is. I checked and it showed the A51 doesn't have B1, yet the Samsung Band Selection app shows it does. See screenshots in my earlier post.
My TF/Verizon BYOP SIM has TMFL. It started out in 2010 as a TF feature phone LG840, transferred to several TF smartphones then BYOP TF/AT&T and finally to TF/ Verizon BYOP last August.
Is it Alex Trac? If so, a bot that sends useless advice.
An SMS (plain text) with a picture attached is an MMS (multi-media text), which on an Android phone requires Data to send or receive. The APN also needs to be correct for that to work.
Looks like NTP (Network Transfer PIN) aka Port PIN hasn't been added to the list yet.
My two main phones have service to end of 2025, I have more reward points available but won't redeem them yet. My backup line is out to 203x, I'll leave it as is.
You missed the "else" statement. Ha ha.
The $125 card from TF is applied to your current line and doesn't affect its phone number.
The Fi deal gives me $500 discount but I have to use the phone on Fi for 120 days. There are talks that you can use a SIM of a non-Fi provider in the phone before 120 days, but I'm not willing to...
I don't know about that. I'm using a Samsung S22 (bought unlocked from Fi) with a Google Fi SIM. My understanding is that Fi uses T-mo or US Cellular. Yet the app shows band 13 which I think is only...
Yes, I have a FreeUp AT&T SIM in my A51 and the screen shots posted early do not show band 20.
If you're saying the A02s has band 20 because the info at gsmarena says so, I wouldn't count on it. Gsmarena says the A51 has band 20, but as I mentioned previously I ran the Samsung Band Selection...
If you're asking about the 365-day add-on (no bucket units) for $49.99, it's only offered to TF-sold phones.
Port-in or TF-assigned numbers are fine. Basically, not a reactivation nor a transfer from an active TF line.
TF started doing that a few months ago, automatically adding phones that you ordered to your account. Unless you activate those phones as new lines, the points won't mature.
I'm using my TF-UNLOCKED A51 with a FreeUp AT&T SIM. After the update, the APN remained FreeUp Mobile.
If you use a mobile device to view the site that sillyette linked to, you won't see "the full picture". The screenshot below shows what I saw using my laptop. On the far right of the "NETWORK" line,...
The thing is...reading the List of Android 12 problems reported & fixed (a running list since May 2021) doesn't give me a warm & fuzzy feeling. Since I think most of the Android 12 features are...
