Iíve been seeing my data on the $65 plan just stop working until I cycle airplane mode for the last month or so. I know itís not congestion throttling, because Iíve had speed tests peak over 100Mbps...

One to Two Bars in the Norm?

Iím only pointing out that linking to some guyís blog from almost 10 years ago, which just so happens to state that Apple was back then moving to a more accurate representation of signal usability,...

Nice, now we cite clickbait blogs from nearly a decade ago to play the Apple hate game? You mean because they changed from the bars reflecting signal strength (which was the standard in 2010 and...

Yes, AT&T will work fine with any other carrier.

The limitation is that only one of your SIMs will support CDMA.
  5. Will an iPhone 11 activated on Sprint also work with a Verizon SIM card?

You can use Sprint as a carrier on a Dual SIM iPhone, however it needs to be in the physical SIM slot.

I am running AT&T as my primary carrier on the eSIM and Sprint as secondary. However, my...

They changed it to 30 days at one point down from 90. Iím pretty sure I lost my last $30 plan from just letting it lapse a few days.

At that point, it wasnít worth arguing with them to keep it...

I probably could, but to me it really wouldn't be worth the trouble at this point.

After using it a bit more it seems to have stabilized for the most part. I'm just still a bit put off by a...
  8. Does prepaid support Wi-Fi calling on iCloud-connected devices?

I havenít had a line active on Metro since 2016, but it did work back then. I doubt they would take away that functionality and if they claim to support it on the Apple website I assume it still...
  9. Does prepaid support Wi-Fi calling on iCloud-connected devices?

Iíve only seen this work on T-Mobile prepaid. I wish others would add it, but I doubt they will.

It has worked for me on different plans, but you could start a new line just to test it out and if...

Iíve had that happen on rare occasions and Iím using an iPhone. So maybe the server here in the USA that records the calls for the CIA/NSA goes down for a second once in a while too?

  12. Verizon unlimited data plan speed decreased

Maybe they did mean Band 13 only towers. But either way the end result is the same.

I ended up getting one. I suppose it's not overall a bad phone for an ultra rugged candybar phone and it does work with VoLTE.

The downside, to me anyway, is that it's really just running Android....

    Sonim XP5S VoLTE

Does anyone know if the Sonim XP5S is VoLTE capable on AT&T?

I'm looking at one of these to use when camping and hiking but if it's only compatible with voice on 3G I'm not interested.

You can just go into Settings then Cellular and see what app(s) used all the data.

If it's not something that needs to use cellular data, disable it for that app.

Was the 12 GB + 2 per line plan a promo or was that the actual plan?

If we're including promos, sure there have been lots of great plans on every carrier over the years that have come and gone.

So. Can you give an example of a plan, family or not, that Verizon has gotten rid of that "normal users would actually want"?

Why is Verizon all-in on Unlimited?

No carrier is perfect. Every carrier has its congested spots, and no carrier can compete on the postpaid level without offering unlimited. Those are just facts.
