What amazes me is how people panic when their satellite TV provider stops carrying the local OTA TV stations. WTF? When did it become efficient to beam a signal 20K miles into space and back again to...

For once, 'most everyone seems in general agreement. I pay $8.55/mo for one Netflix DVD at a time and piggyback on my son's Netflix streaming account. That and an antenna provides more TV than I want...

"Jumped on" as in signing up for a free trial or "jumped on" as investing the 401K in? The former doesn't seem like a big problem, the latter could be an issue.

Good question. Good T-Mo coverage but the nearest "Sprint" tower may be a few blocks closer than the nearest T-Mobile tower.
  6. Roaming Sprint (310-120) all the time now.

I went from not being able to access either of Sprint's MNCs to being on 310-120 (band 25) all the time now. I guess that's a sign of progress.

After an initial burst of band-71 deployments back at the beginning of the year, they've done nothing more around here.

I'd say "3rd-party", "BYOD" or "un-flagged". The last would be the same manufacturer's version of the same phone a carrier sells but without the carrier's customization.

When you consider all the things that must work right to get a cell signal to work that far out in the Gulf it's amazing it works at all. I'm willing to bet that RigNet/T-Mobile knew that site was...

When you think about it, you have to leave it out in the bright sun to build a charge but not in a place where someone would steal it. Like on the dash of a car, but then why not just use a 12 v...

LTE band 66 and band 4 are like a freeway with and without the HOV lane. Band 4 is the freeway without the HOV lane and band 66 is the same freeway with the HOV lane added. Do you need the HOV lane?...

Seems like your friend may have painted himself into a corner. I can't think of anything other than getting the screen fixed.

I'll probably do just that. So far, no one has been able to give me any examples of how ZenKey can be used in any reasonable, practical sort of way.

I don't know about fog but I suspect that long periods of high humidity (e.g. Florida, Louisiana) may trigger the "water damage" sensors.

Well, that's not very useful. I thought it would be some super secure password vault.

OK. I've installed ZenKey but don't seem able to use it to store passwords. Not sure how this app is supposed to work.

I looked at that but I do recall some connection to the phone's SIM, which isn't mentioned in the information about one password.
  20. Password manager app connected with or recommended by T-Mobile?

Gray cells are not functioning. I recall seeing something about a password manager app that was recommended (?) by T-Mobile in that it worked in conjunction with your SIM to encrypt your passwords....

VTel Wireless (311-990) has an LTE network there but it seems to be mostly a wireless ISP. If T-Mobile can roam VTel, their coverage in the state will be pretty darned good.

It may be the old story of better vs good-enough? I think it was not only causing a lot of confusion but costing T-Mobile a lot of money. I just wish we knew more about T-Mobile SIMs.
