The Galaxy S5 camera, compared to others...

It has the most megapixels, but that doesn't make it the best. You also have to figure in sensor size and sensitivity. Both of which are better on the Lumia phones. But, it's light years ahead of what we had in either small digital cameras or phones just 5 years ago. I have an S4, and it...

    Galaxy S4 system board swap

After further research, I can't find any AT&T or T-Mobile logic boards that will connect up properly. Verizon and Sprint boards look like they have all of the connections, but their radios won't support AT&Ts LTE. So it looks like I'm out of luck.

Note 3 How Do I Recover over 500 Deleted Photos...please help

I have no solution for you. But you do have my sympathy. I did something similar, and I was the wife's whipping boy for about a month. To help avoid this in the future, Several cloud apps will copy your photos to the cloud as you take them. I use PogoPlug and have a drive attached to the...

    Galaxy S4 system board swap

I've been looking at other models. There are several that look promising. I'll sell the M919 and look into getting a steal on one of the more compatible looking boards. The L720 from Sprint, the P717 from AT&T, and the I545 from Verizon look physically compatible. I'll have to look at the...

    Galaxy S4 system board swap

No go. My cricket S4 has a coax antenna on both sides of the logic board. The M919 didn't have a connector for the power button side. Plus, the ribbon going from bottom to top on the power button side was a little too long. Oh well. I tried. via the HoFo App

    Galaxy S4 system board swap

Got a deal on the logic board today. T-Mobile M919. Looks real straight forward. No jawbone connectors. I hate those. I'll have to unlock it, and find a SIM card I can borrow and see if it works! But, with my luck, it probably won't. So I'll sell it. Not much lost. I'll keep you posted.

    Galaxy S4 system board swap

I actually do have quite a bit of experience repairing phones. That's probably that possible solution appeals to me. via the HoFo App

    Galaxy S4 system board swap

Come on, folks. Has nobody had this need before? Cricket is shutting off CDMA in about a year. My 3 month old S4 will stop working. Had I known that AT&T was going to screw everyone with a Cricket phone, I would have bailed before my two weeks was up. As it is, it will most likely be a $400...

    Galaxy S4 system board swap

Will a Galaxy S4 GSM motherboard work in a CDMA S4? Yes, I know that it won't work on a CDMA network after the swap. Thanks. via the HoFo App

Droid X wifi drop fix found

My X2 will drop wifi every few minutes when I'm at home. Found a fix on an obscure forum that I can't remember. Applied it, and haven't dropped my wifi since. On your wireless router, change your DHCP lease time to anything but forever. I put mine to 2 weeks. Problem gone.

Can't connect Optimus S to PC

Must be a problem point for these phones. I got a replacement USB/charging port on e-bay. It wouldn't be there if they don't sell them. I'll pull the existing port out and check for connectivity while I wait for the port. Sent from my DROIDX using HowardForums

Can't connect Optimus S to PC

I wonder? Could it be the cable? I've tried using a cable from a blackberry and a generic cable. Or maybe the port on the phone is damaged. Anybody have any ideas? Sent from my DROIDX using HowardForums

Can't connect Optimus S to PC

I have an LG Optimus LS670 from Sprint that I'm going to flash to Cricket. I've downloaded and installed the LG drivers. I've tried it on two different computers. I've factory reset two times. I've tried with USB debugging on and off. I cannot get the phone to recognize the PC or...

"Roaming list file contains no data" on QPST write

Trying to flash a Verizon Moto Droid to Cricket. I point to the 45513.prl file (also tried with 42900) and do the rest of the stuff to flash. When I write, I get the error in the title, and it doesn't save some of the settings. I've Googled and haven't found anything helpful. Hopefully...

How do I get OS 5.0 on BB 9630 Tour?

Has the service book problem been solved? Last I heard, you had to reload the deathtrip service books after each re-boot with OS 5.

Sprint Blackberry on Boost Mobile Support Thread

Google "blackberry (your model) policy remove" and find a post that doesn't charge you. Follow the instructions and it shouldn't be too bad. I bought an AT&T 8820 on e-bay and it had a very restrictive policy on it. Thought the wife was going to kill me for buying a useless phone. But I was...
