Well, the "big three" will be laughing to the bank for another year as Canadian's get screwed ONCE AGAIN. Wind Mobile is dropping out of the 700 megahertz spectrum auction set for Tuesday after failing to get financial support from its parent company, VimpelCom. The announcement, disclosed...

Lame data plans are here, MONTHLY only.

The lame data plans are now here for Petro Canada Mobility (same as Speak Out Wireless). $10 for 100 megs, 10 cents per meg over. ALWAYS ACTIVE, so be careful not to go over (100 megs per 30 days!) Even if you are on a ANYTIME PLAN, the data is MONTHLY. Which makes no sense, how hard is it...

Unlimited Surfing plans to ending soon

So in short, it will SUCK. $10 a month for 100 megabytes is NOT PAY AS YOU GO. That's the price of every other monthly carrier out there. Sigh, when will we actually have DECENT PRICES for wireless in Canada (I say when pigs can fly).

Bell Has anyone tested 8com wireless.

Considering the company just BOUGHT the domain name back in April, I wouldn't trust them. Also of note, they can't even get their text rates right, it says 15 Cents per MINUTE instead of per text. They have no indication how much UNLIMITED DATA is (it says FAIR USE POLICY, but there is no...

Fido Unlimited Canada-wide Calling for only $10.00/Month (Existing customers only)!!!

$450! That's INSANE! Well, guess now we know, business numbers need not apply for the Fido $10 home phone. By the way, in another forum, someone who was on a Bell landline and called to port to Fido home phone actually got AN OFFER from bell for $10 home phone with NORTH AMERICA long...

    Fido Hassement!

Fido kept calling me too, spend your Fido dollars, upgrade your phone...meh. I called back the number, there was an option to be removed from their list. I've received ZERO CALLS in the last year from Fido. How hard is it to do that?

Fido Unlimited Canada-wide Calling for only $10.00/Month (Existing customers only)!!!

I have seen many posts of people porting their personal videotron voip number to another provider (Vonage and others). Sounds like that is what the problem is. I would first not mention to videotron you are porting over, that you are closing your business and you want to change it to a...

Fido Unlimited Canada-wide Calling for only $10.00/Month (Existing customers only)!!!

Business numbers can't be ported. You'll either have to change it to a PERSONAL account, then port it or lose the number.

Fido Unlimited Canada-wide Calling for only $10.00/Month (Existing customers only)!!!

You should call the Fido number and ask them what is up with this and they should advise anyone signing up for this Videotron is playing hard ball. Complain to the CRTC about Videotron? Well at least you can get a full refund within 15 days so do it quick. I'm going to port a bell land line...

Fido Unlimited Canada-wide Calling for only $10.00/Month (Existing customers only)!!!

This sounds like someone who doesn't know what they are doing. I just got this from the Fido chat: We can't give a 450 number, but we can port them over, for sure.

Fido Unlimited Canada-wide Calling for only $10.00/Month (Existing customers only)!!!

Has anyone tried porting a land line over that isn't "yours"? I don't live with my parents and would love to port them over for $10 a month (they aren't Fido customers).

Connecting to internet on my Galaxy Nexus

Those settings are under the SETTINGS and APN (some Android phones have it under Carrier and Data). Without a rooted phone and proxy software, you can only SURF on your Nexus (it is called UNLIMITED SURFING, not data).

Fido Unlimited Canada-wide Calling for only $10.00/Month (Existing customers only)!!!

Now I've got two conflicting answers :) So, can we plug this into the main box where all the phone wires meet instead of just two phones in the back?
