Samsung i760 running Crossbow confirmed with pics!

I have been idly waiting for this phone to come out to replace my dying e815 but I am not hearing anything about this or the 6800 and now I don't know if I should go with the treo or just pick another "normal" non PDA phone.

Is it possible that with Cingular getting the iPhone, with the likely mega marketing blitz that will go along with it, that Verizon will really have nothing at all?

Oddly enough, that seems to be their strategy here. I find it odd that a company would allow a rival to dominate the world of buzz for as long as Verizon has allowed Cingular/AT&T, but maybe their recent move to quell all rumored phone talk from CSR's has something to do with a surprise launch.

It is absolutely not. I don't even remember where the June release came from, but no Verizon employees that post here have heard anything new, folks who are asking about the i760 or 6800 are getting "I've never heard of that phone" comments 3/4 of the time, and more importantly, Verizon has made zero announcements.

If anything, a June release is looking pretty unlikely at this point. Ugh.

this is exactly why those Bas#$rds at Verizon won't give us release dates. they want to get rid of all those crappy treo's and junk they have sitting around! If they gave us release dates people would simply be able to intelligently figure out wether to wait or just buy the old crap! Verizon couldn't handle that!

I've begun obsessively checking this thread hoping that someone will post a confirmed release date. Belt clip is ripping for my Treo...my retractable charging/sync cable is acting weird....it's a sign I need a new phone!! Let's go Samsung/VZW!!!

The June release date came from the scan of a Verizon document somewhere in this thread that stated: Availability Q2.

Can somebody do a search and find this thing on the FCC site or is this not good news for the I760?

There have been problems today trying to get to documents/pictures on the fcc site for the xv6800 as well, as is noted in that thread.

Anyone else notice that it's listed as running WM5? I thought this thing was supposed to be VZW's first WM6?

Hopefully that's just a mistake and it's OS hasn't been updated on the form here.
