What will Fido cripple? The unlimited hiptop data option or the hiptop itself?

Hey, that's great news. Would it be wise to sign up for the $20 unlimited data plans now? I mean add this option to my current account?

Ummm....where exactly are you getting this info about HT3 coming to Fido??

And also, who here thinks that Fido will cripple it and REMOVE the main selling points of it: MSN and AIM and Yahoo unlimited use included in the data plan?!

With Rogers at the helm, who knows. If they remove those applications or somehow restrict the usage, I won't bother with HT3. The main draw of hiptops are the fact that they include unlimited data and instant messaging. I'm quite content with HT2 if Rogers tries to screw up HT3. Thanx.

    FIDO $60/10GB + 5 hours unlimited data
WIND $15 AITF unlimited data (10GB full speed)

nope you need a his top to add the option hence the delay, they want to profit big from this, i say they can shove it.

They'd piss off a lot of people, seeing as most people know that hiptop data plans are between $20 and $25 (Canadian) in EVERY MARKET they're sold. The data runs through Dangers servers and require the unlimited-ness because the phone is always connected.

If Rogers/Fido raises the price of its data plan, its purely out of greed. $40 would be way higher than any other hiptop carrier, and would be just insane.
