whoa! I can't wait for this to come out. It is actually $30 more then my rate plan (My current rate plan is 100 for 2100 minutes+9.99 per line... plus 20% access credit). However, we have 4 lines, and two of them are on the $15 text plan

Has anyone noticed this? Sorry if it's been posted already.
If you go to: testman.verizonwireless.com (use zip code: 99999) and select rate plans....
You'll notice the new America's Choice SELECT plans for both single lines and family share plans.
The new SELECT plans include unlimited text, picture and video messaging to anyone on ANY NETWORK. It's basically $ 20 extra for unlimited messaging to/from anyone domestically.
Of course, the regular ACII plans are still listed as available.
What are your thoughts? Rate plan changes are rare for Big Red but I think I like what I see initially. I'd like to get more clarification on it before I get too excited. Any Verizon Wireless employees able to vouch for this?
Any dates?
I'd especially like to confirm that on the ACII SELECT Family Share Plans that ALL lines get unlimited messaging??? Thanks in advance!
Keep in mind, all plans still include:

First Two Lines Unlimited Calling to any Verizon Wireless Customer AND Night & Weekend Minutes
That is what it says in the regular americas choice family plan. Is that a misprint, or are they changing the family plan to only the first two lines get the free minutes. That has to be a misprint, or they are pushing everyone to go towards the americas choice select.
I have the old $5 plan of unlimited in/50 outside carrier plan, we dont go over that, or come close to it, so we would be better to stay where we are at. Otherwise, a good deal for family plans that text a lot, basically $33 covers all 5 lines. A lot better then that $10/month plan per line.
I think it's meant to correspond to the price. Notice how the price and the part that says first two lines are the same color (red). I hope that's how it's supposed to be read. That said, if those America Select plans are for real, I might spring for those. They are expensive, but considering what you're getting, I can live with it. And still I wonder why they don't just allow you to add unlimited messaging to the current family plans for an additional $30.Originally Posted by DOTsucks

Ha! Clever!
Instead of introducing unlimited messaging add-ons (which don't require contract extension) they are adding new *plans* which will extend your contract...
Agreed, but it is still more than i expected of them!
Why yes, I AM a Verizon Wireless Authorized Retailer.
What the hell happened to $49 plans??? It goes from $39 to $59.
the 59 IS the 39, they just added 20 dollars for the feature
I noticed these plans in NetAce yesterday while at work.
i didnt see the plans when i went on the testman site...
If $ 20 extra (per account) can get my whole family plan unlimited SMS and EMS, that would save me lots of $$$.
Naturally, we'd be extending our agreements, but for me its worth it.
Did you change your zip code to 99999? You need to do that in order to see them.Originally Posted by nhanson
By the way, I'm currently on the $59.99 America's Choice 900 minute plan. If I switch to America's Choice Select 900 minute plan, that will make my monthly charge $79.99 and then I'll be eligible for the "Verizon Wireless Merits Program". For those who don't know what that is, here are some links.

I'm in the same exact situation; didn't even think about the Merits Program. Good call.Originally Posted by Sam K
Also, if you still have more than 1 year left on your contract, switching will not affect your contract end date. Anybody have any info on if/when these plans will be available?
Again verizon continues to rape consumers, $20 a month? Come on seriously. T-Mobile ($15) and Sprint ($10). I don't think Sprint includes picture and video but still it seems a bit pricey. I'll stick with my $5 unlimited txt/pix/flix and 50 out thanks!
I wouldn't really consider going from 2500 messages to unlimited for the same price "raping"Originally Posted by liquidgroove
