I returned my phone too many problems right now to live with.

-Left tab key button for messages was very loose. Made a creaking sound when pushed.
-No big front clock on front display
    -Speakerphone echo
    -Fingerprint magnet
-ear piece volume muffled, not clear as a LG phone
    -UI very slow (second that)
-keypad imprint on screen (second that)
-got a white screen when plugged it in to charge

Verizon should stop overwriting the Motorola UI with theirs. I'm glad your honest about the Maxx Ve's problems. You would think who ever tested or designed this phone they would know about the keypad being to close to the screen when closed!

Oh and you CAN change the ring type with the rocker switches your obviously not equipped to handle such a phone.

How about the vibrate, is it strong or weak like the E815?

With the flip closed???... If so, interesting... this is the first I've heard of this ability, so far it seemed to be unanimous that it can't be done.. and I'm excited to hear it! So you're saying in this regard it behaves the same as the e815 & V3m??

To clarify, you CAN'T change the ringer volume/type by pressing buttons with the phone closed. However, you CAN open the phone and use the volume rocker to adjust the volume and set to vibrate or silent. My guess is Verizon was getting complaints from angry Moto customers who would have the ring styles changing while in their pockets. I personally never had the problem with these buttons but apparently enough people did. It would be nice to have a setting in the menu that let you choose whether or not this could be done. I still can't believe Verizon didn't make the large centered clock a standard feature.

Yeah thank guyinlaca I didn't mean you could with the flip closed. Sorry for that. You can rocker the volume/ring when the flip is open!

Yeah I had ppl come into my store ALL the time and hate that they change in there pockets. Apparently vzw listened. That must be a first. But they probalby should have made it an option like you said.

    Battery life

So I wake up this morning, and the phone is down to 50% battery.

I fully charged the phone last nite, around 10pm and left it on my desk, I received 2 text messages, read them and thats it, no calls made or receive. I do have bluetooth on.

I live in the city and I get excellent signal at my apartment. I had a KRZR before and would not loose a single battery bar overnight, even with bluetooth on.

I am going to test it for the next couple of days, but I already came across other threads that state that battery life is bad.

Any thoughts? How is battery life on everyone elses phone? With bluetooth on and with bluetooth off?

How big was the Gif file and what was resolution? Maybe the multimedia messaging service how to downsize it or downgrade the quality. Did you try sending a QVGA sized pic or something close to it to the phone?
