    What are your revol experiences?
I have terrible service in indianapolis indiana at 10th Street and Dearborn St. As soon as i go into my house I cant get service or it breaks up and searches in and out. My old Sprint and Cingular never had this issue

make sure you installed the drivers are you using xp or vista? also Revol might be blocking this as they offer wireless web back up as a downloadable program... I find it interesting that there customer service people do not know about the web backup even though all you have to do is go thru the programs one can purchase from the phone

so far service here in Muncie / New Castle is surprisingly pretty damn good. Only 2 drawback I have is $60 for a LG VX3200 (can get on ebay for like $5 shipped) and the fact that trying to get a data cable & ringtones is near impossible

Placing the software on the phone is no problem, the problem is that Revol like most carriers will not activate a phone that is from another cdma provider like verizon or alltell or sprint. good luck!

Would be nice to have one of the ******** that work there as a friend or something!!

    My experience with Revol:

    * Avoid contest - as if you DO ACTUALLY WIN, you will NEVER get your prize. Referring to the candid contest.

    * Awesome signal in the coverage area. Even alittle farther. (with all BUT one of my atleast 10 phones)

    * Phones are out dated and VERY expensive. Most are refurbished phones and most of my phones get HOT on my ear after about 15 min talk time.

    * Battery life on phones isn't as good as the manufacture says it is.

    * If you buy the protection plan ($5 mo extra) you still have to pay an $80 detectable to get the new phone. AND IT WILL BE A REFURB!! May not even be the same phone you had. So anything extra you bought (car charger, etc) for the other phone is now useless!!

    * Pic messages ONLY work with other revol users.

    * Text Messages are sometimes (very rare) delayed for hours, if they are ever received.

    * Your phone number is a recently used number from another network (so at first lots of wrong numbers)

    * Customer service is snotty, ghetto, ********. They lie and they are VERY rude.

    * Unlimited Text & ANYTIME calls for $47.00/mo (Not bad at all) (Voice mail, call waiting, three way, & caller id)

    * Used to replace my home phone!

    * Revol Offers $5 off each phone (up to 3) for having multi phones.

    * Revol Offers $5 off each phone that uses a credit card to auto pay for the monthly bill.

    * Text you to tell you when your bill is due (starting at 9 days before!)

    * No Contracts or deposits

    * Not good if you travel outside the coverage area,

    * But great if you stay around locally!!

    * Good for kids (high school or college students) as a first phone.

    * You cant "run the bill up" either you have the credits to use or you don't. Simple!

    ************************************************** ***
I live in Northern Ohio and I have been using Revol since they opened (3 months after) It was enough for me to leave verizon and I hate the employees who work there BUT I enough to stay for now!!

swtrven: you couldn't have said it any better about their "customer service" (we'll use that term very loosely)

Revol, email to cell text messaging? (sms gateway?)

Anyone know what it is for Revol? The address to text messagage.

For cricket it's [email protected] but it wont go threw to our Revol phone.

Also, cricket lets anyone send messages from there website...
    http://www.mycricket.com/sendtextmessage/

but Revol makes you register with last 4 digits of SS# and confirm it from phone. WTF?...
