    ic902 mod

Hey guys, sorry for the new thread but wanted to catch everyone's attention. I dont know if anyone else found this but if you take the inner panel off, where it says motorola on the faceplate, behind it is a chrome sticker giving it the chrome look. You can take that sticker off and the motorola letters become clear, so you can leave it as is and give it a black text color look, or paint it and have it any color you want it to be or even put a pic behind it. Its a neat and free mod.

Hey guys, here it is. I took it apart and painted it. All i have to say is, very easy to open up, i didnt mess with the flip cuz i couldnt get the spring out, was jammed or i dunno couldnt figure it out, but yea puting it together is a big pain, too much thin ribbon plus the stupid buttons are held together to the keypad with a string and if it cuts ur screwed. But ya here it is guys. My Limited Edition ic902.

you took the whole phone apart just to paint that ? I just used auto tape and sprayed the phone to do the black trim along with the battery back and antenna ... just seemed easy

    hinge

hey there, the hinge isn't a spring, it can be easily disassembled. take a very small flathead (tweaker) and separate the inside of the hinge from the casing, the plug from the inverter board to the LCD can be discoed, it will come apart... be careful of the ribbon, hehe

Yeah I know this is an old thread, but I gotta say that's sweet. Very nice work on the paint job, Kyank.
