I've just purchased a housing for a Nokia E65 and am wondering if anyone has instructions on how to disassemble the handset in order to change the housing. I can't seem to get my head around it and don't want to destroy my phone. Is there any person out there that has done this and is able to share their advice on instructions.
Cheers

look on google. i remmeber seeing some photos with instructions on how to take it apart and put it back together.. it seemed pretty complicated though because some parts were not reusable when you dissasembled it..
I tried Google, it was pretty messed up with a slideshow that contained missing images. I found one link that led me here but then when I clicked on it, it said something along the lines of "I don't have permissions" ??????? I tried to work it out but can't find a reason why I don't have permissions?![]()

I know there are instructions out there with specific diagrams/photo's etc. I only hope that the person/people that have them might choose to share them.
My only disbelief is that people sell housing without instructions!!!!!![]()

I just wish I could find a way to change the housing.
Nothing comes to those who do nothing!

yea that slide show is the one i'm talking about i think its on flickr or something of that sort... Anyways that was the same pictures that were on here.. but i guess for some reason it cant be posted on this forum...
I heard its hard to change out the middle and back top part... probably the best thing to do is take it into a shop and see if they are willing to do it...
especially with the film in between the sliders![]()
Ok well it's done, I waited but I guess no-one wants to share their images and or instrucitons. It's not that hard and it took all of maybe 15 - 20 minutes ..
Basically basic understanding of the slide and how to pull the pins out allows for the removal of the screw that's holding that all important piece of the housing on and thereafter as they say it's all a piece of cake. I nkow have a totally gorgeous immaculate looking WHITE E65 .. wooooooohooooooooo!!
pictures please![]()

If you're knowledge isn't up to scratch and you're unable to do it leave it to someone who does know, ask a technician or leave it well enough alone, it's not an easy job and your run the risk of stuffing the phone up then you'll be sorry.
