    On youtube, indeed you did, I mentioned that. But I had a few questions on p1 of this thread aside from modding. But thanks for letting me know.

    DO you have a Fossil/SE BT Watch to test with?

    I'm thinking of gettin the Z6. How do you guys think it compares to the S500i? I'm looking at about 375 CDN for the phone+card+S9. The S500 is more like ~230.

    Settings are a little tricky on this one. There are two seperate areas that have to be filled in.

    STEP 1
    =====
    1. Go to Settings-->Connections-->Add a Connection.
    2. Create one called MEdia Net using the following settings.

    Profile Name: Media Net
    Proxy 1: 66.209.11.32
    Port 1: 80
    GPRS APN: wap.cingular
    User Name: [email protected]
    Password: CINGULAR1
    Quality of Service: Data
    GPRS Timeout: 15 Minutes
    SAVE SETTINGS

    No Additonal Settings are Required.

    STEP 2
    =====
    Under "Browser Setup" in the Web Access Menu, you need to select Browser Profiles. Then "Add a New Profile".
    1. Profile Name : MEdia Net
    2. Homepage: http://device.home
    3. Data Connection: MEdia Net.
    SAVE SETTINGS

    USING MMS WITH AT&T
    ===============

    1. Open up the Messages Folder
    2. Click on Options
    3. Select Multimedia Messages
    4. Choose "Manage Service Profiles"
    5. Choose "Create"
    ---> Profile Name: AT&T
    ---> Service Center: mmsc.cingular.com
    ---> Internet Connection: MEdia Net
    SAVE SETTINGS
    6. Go back to Message Folder/Options/Multimedia Messages again.
    7. Select "Active Service Profile"
    8. Choose "AT&T"

    No problem!! I do notice that MEdia NET does appear differently on my V8 than it did on my V3xx. For some reason the "pictures" do not display on Media Net home page.. I see they dont on yours either.

    Also MEdia Net think's my V8 is a Blackberry!!! Might have something to do with it..although on my account a V3xx is on record.

    For those who might be interested, I noticed there are some all black z6's on eBay (not the black and orange ones). They come with the s9 headset and 1gb sd card too.

    it doesnt matter what's on your account. its dependent on your phone's "user-agent string" which is what it sends to the server to identify what type of device it is. cingular/at&t probably doesnt have anything for the V8 in their web servers so who knows why it defaulted to the blackberry.

    I'm using a Black Z6 and the firmware really needs a lot of improvements. Currently I am facing this problem where by the Camera wouldn't start. The Camera is totally black when it loads up and when trying to take picture, an error pops up "Unknown Error - Picture Capture failed"...

    My S/W Version is R60_G_80.31.15R...

    I have both the z6 and s500i. The build quality of the z6 is noticeably better than the s500i. The s500i feels too "plasticky." If I had to pick between the 2, I'd probably pick the z6. This is coming from an SE fan.

    my z6 arrived this morning god willing and here are a few initial thoughts;

    by the looks of it it is exactly the same package as djdownhills.

    it is a beautiful piece of work the craftsmanship is absolutely top notch in each and every area.out of the half a dozen or so phones ive had by different manufacturers this is by far the best, build wise. having never seen a z3 the size really is small and petite.

    the orange is a nice contrast with the black.its a burnt orange not a really bright orange.when the slide is open the keypad is a bit in your face not so much that i dislike it but im thinking of possibly getting a black keypad off ebay and putting that in god willing.what do you think djdownhill would it look better?
    i think all black would look a tad boring god willing but each to there own.

    the user interface seems fine although im still getting used to it as im used to using nokias.it is lightning fast without a trace of lag.my menu screen has 9 icons and im looking into how to put 12 on like i think baldilocks has done on his v8.

    call quality on both sides is excellent which i think is a mainstay for motorolas god willing so no surprise there.

    the audio through the phones speakers as opposed to the headphones is amazing.i recently asked djdownhill about the z6 compared to the e6 ,but i have to say the z6 is ALOT better.
    when playing the same audio on the e6 anything above 75% volume the sound becomes distorted and it sounds tinny.on the z6 i cranked the sound to top volume on the audio sound settings and on the phone itself by the volume up down control and there is absolutely no distortion or change in the sound whatsoever.really impressed.i havent tried the s9's yet (they are on the charger (it says charge for 2 hours before first use)

    havent attempted the web browser side of things as im probably going to need some help there god willing,ive had my e6 for about 3-4 weeks and havent managed it on that yet.

    took a couple of photos camera looks average but no surprise there.

    i tranferred a few files over to the z6 using bluetooth and it works flawlessly god willing.

    djdownhill how do you check the firmware.
