Update: I tried replacing the 4 corrupted files by overwriting them with files with the same filenames, ala overwriting verizon.gif. No go. Files are still coming up corrupt, by the file info for each reflect the new files.![]()

I think it's safe to say that many would agree with you about VZW's choices and restrictions but the point is that this is a dedicated hacking thread, not a rant thread and everything you mentioned was known about the phone prior to release and much discussed in many other threads.
Suffice it to say that it didn't add anything to this discussion.
We spend a great deal of time and energy here undoing as much of VZW's nefarious meddling as we can, it's the lifeblood of this forum!![]()

I think it was sheer dumb luck, but I got isync to work with the v9m. The only strange thing is that I couldn't get contacts and calendars to sync at the same time. However, you can do each separately. A little annoying, but not that bad. Here's the code snippet I dropped into the plist. Now, where can we find a .tiff for it?Originally Posted by madadam

what size (rez) does it need to be?Originally Posted by peripheral
Looking at iSync, I think that this picture might be useable for the dimensions: http://m.areamobile.de/images/quicki...lose_150px.jpgOriginally Posted by Mark_Venture
Just rename the extension from .jpeg to .tiff and it should work. If you want to get really picky, you could open the image in an image editor and remove the little bit of white around the curves of the phone.
Edit: And I just checked sizes, the Moto v3 .tiff is sized at 60 x 60.
Edit #2: Damn, if you resize that, it squishes...
Edit #3: Ok, I made this picture based on ideas and cues from the one Apple Inc. supplied. The krzr graphic is sized at 64 x 64, so I made this picture at that ratio. Plus, I used the Verizon graphic. Hope this works out better for the iSync users: http://rapidshare.com/files/54323462/Motv9m.tiff.html

My Phones Over The Years

Ah crap, somehow when you open the Apple graphics they show a black background but in iSync they are not black (must be transparent??). I made that one black. Sorry, I tried. I only have HP Image Edit, Seashore, and MS Word to work with for images. Maybe someone with CS3 can do better.
I have been able to set up my V9m with MPT, however I am having the same problem I had with my V3c. How can I transfer weekly recurring appointments from my calender?
Thanks in advance
Alan
Hey guys theres 24 pages and I cant read through all of them, but I would like to puta ringtone on my RAZR 2 v9m. I edited the file to a qcp, and its 30 secs. I have it in the My sounds but I cant move it to My ringtones, so is emailing yourself confimed to work, and could you explain if it is working.
This isn't a ringtone thread. The methods for getting ringtones onto the V9m are the same as in the Maxx hacking thread though, and on Mark's pages. http://mark.cdmaforums.com/
The Calendar app on the Moto phones has been somewhat limited. I'm guessing the V9M's calendar app is the same.Originally Posted by alanek
