    what updates if any does this flash have. i think it's a firmware update or is it just the original firmeware?

    Its the ORIGINAL Verizon firmware. No updates.

    When I go to SW version on my maxx it says 20.1_01.36.05 Is this one diffrent than mine??

    Yes, its stightly newer.

    I think there was some discussion of a newer or at least different firmware verison in the Official Maxx thread... but I don't recall the specifics..

    could you connect your phone to your PC with RSD General and get the information displayed to see if there is a monster flash with that newer firmware on Moto's site? Thanks.

    I didn't know some people had a Maxx with S/W ending in .05

    I have RSD General 4.9.8 but cannot upgrade the firmware with it. So what should I use?

    RSD CDMA General can not be used to flash.

    Use RSDLite instead. Or you should be able to use MultiFlashFlex from PST v7.25 or v7.26

    This should do the equivalent of a “Master Clear” to my phone, correct?

    I can't believe that option was deleted on these phones.

    You can do a Master Reset or Master Clear in Test Mode

    On the V9M its on the Features Opts page... not sure, but the maxx may be the same.
