Everyone has their "vices" -- some folks like expensive food, some folks travel to remote parts of the world, some folks have hot rods, some folks mainline heroin.

We just like phones and technology.

And there is a pretty big subset of the phone folks who are only happy getting a "new" phone when they can do so at a great price. I don't go out and buy the latest phone at full price. Instead, I often get a slightly older model after it has depreciated a bit. All-in-all, the total amount I've spent on phones is less than I've spent on buying one PC.

You'll need to bank a few more phones to pay for the gas that thing sucks in.

If we were betting, I would win because I have at least 18 different phone models... I guess I will also have to come up with a good list..

For three years, I've used a T-Mobile MDA for email, wi-fi and going online when I'm out of the office. I have a flat-rate data only plan with T-Mobile.

This year I changed mobile phones with Verizon and now I have a Samsung SCH-U740. I honestly can't remember what my earlier cell phones were, one was an Audiovox and the others were all Motorola. I've always had Verizon (since they were AirTouch) as my mobile phone company. Once, for about five minutes, I switched over to AT&T Mobile, and within days, I'd returned the phone for a full refund, and I went right back to Verizon. So I've been a cell phone user since 1998.

I just bought a used Dell Axim X51 to use for one specific business application - inventory management.

Since my T-Mobile MDA is almost 3 years old, and starting to fall apart, after constant use, tweaking and abuse, I'm going to replace it soon.

I am having difficulty coming up with all the names of all models I have used since I been a Cell Phone user, but I seriously do not think anyone has me beat.. I will come up with a complete list of all phones I have used, but just to give anyone an idea here is my Carrier History.. After you see the below list, you would think am crazy, and I would say, yes I am.. hehehehe!! And to make things even worst, most of the time I have had Shared Plans..

QUALCOMM QCP-860: PrimeCo 1998-99 They were worse than the IRS,
    reception sucked

Nokia 5110: SunCom 1999-02 unlimited voice only. Voice mail, call waiting extra, still you couldn't beat talk all you want. lots of dead zones

Panasonic DuraMax: SunCom 2002-03 plan got better w/ included features plus unlimited long distance with no rate bump....FREAKIN YEAH!!! Duramax awesome!
Motorola T720: SunCom 2003-05 Still lovin the UnPlan
Motorola V600: SunCom 2005 Still lovin the UnPlan
MOTOROLA MPX220: Cingular 2005-present Hated being sold to cingular. They tried to make customers swap their Razors for their BS $40 LG flips. customer service was crap. But UnPlan was grandfathered in.
HTC 8125: Cingular 2006-07 Same as usual
HTC 8525: AT&T 2007-present ANOTHER BUYOUT! AT&T puts rumors to scare as many people off the UnPlan as possible and it work on many people. Not me though I stuck to my guns and now 2 years later I just signed another 2 year contract with my UnPlan still grandfathered in with MORE features and informed that at the end of my 2 years my plan will roll on automatically unless I change it. YEAH RIGHT! ROLL ON UnPlan!
HTC Touch Pro (Fuze): AT&T 2009-present
