Why are the prices of the refurbed phones more than new!?????

I just don't get it. I checked to see if I could snag a new, no commitment phone for a good price and noticed that the refurbed versions of a lot of the phones is more than the price for the same phone new!

What gives? That makes no sense to me.

    Anyone?

Because refurbs have no discounts or rebates attached

don't forget to look at the 'refurb discount' below the list price.

also, i noticed the math on the prices was wrong on a few phones which is prob just an error. Example, the 6126 list price 239, with a 29.99 2yr discount and 29.99 refurb discount =s you pay 0.00.... so something isn't right there. there was another phone like that too. those prices were 'if i remember correctly' and not sure if its still like that, but was a few days ago.

EDIT: yea, just got back and looked at the refurb page, and lol, someone must have been asleep at the wheel, quite a few of them are messed up. I will say that a lot of the prices don't look bad at all. BlackJack I refurb price 130 bucks (249 retail (new) - 120 Refurb discount = 130 bucks)
