Good thread idea - but if an application is recommended, can you provide an OTA link or link to their website too? That would be really helpful. I'm interested in nav4all but have no idea where to start to find it.
I am no longer an employee of VZW, I left on good terms and still think VZW is the best network in the U.S. and most helpful CSR's in any industry.

That is what I was planning. I think it would be great to have an all in one post to find everything you need on all of the Storm compatible applications. I am willing to stay up to date and update my original post as I can to keep everything together. I just dont know where to find the different applications and I dont have my Storm yet to test the applications to make sure they work. That is where all of you come in. I have added Nav4All and that is how I plan on posting each application. Im open to suggestions too.

    Beyond411 OTA link http://thebogles.com/b411.jad

To set up right install then add your addresses, after that go to Options > Advanced Options > Applications, highlight beyond411 hit the menu key and then hit Disable Compatibility Mode. That will let you use it in landscape and portrait mode, but you can't save settings with compatibility mode off

Just turn off Compatibility Mode. That'll do it, and it seems to work okay without Compatibility Mode.

Here's another cool app i found on Crackberry. It lets you take screen shots of your Storm. Its called 'Capture it'. I installed it and it works.

    http://www.thetechmogul.com/CaptureIt/CaptureIt.jad

Open the link from the Storm browser. Download and install then follow the instructions on this thread:

You definitely need to have SoftReset on your phone to save from pulling the battery

EDIT: For anyone that travels internationally, Translator+ works on the Storm

I have tried quite a few already.

    Works:
    -------
Twitterberrry - Twitter client TwitterBerry Site
Does not do landscape yet, so you cannot use full qwerty keys, but it does work.

BeeTagg - 2d barcode scanner BeeTagg site Works good. FYI, you must take picture in landscape mode to detect correctly.

Moodio - radio on your mobile phone, streaming Moodio site
Works freaking awesome. They even had my local weather channel, talk, NPR, music, etc etc, they could make it easier to preview stations, but oh well.

Google Sync - keep your Google Calendar & Contacts synced with your Storm. I am singling this out because you must have this on your phone. lol
    Google Sync addy
Make sure to also get the Google Outlook sync utility which currently only syncs the calendar. Currently I am having to export my Outlook contacts to csv then import into Gmail contacts folder, but once there they do sync up.

Google everything else - Just go to Google on your mobile and get all the cool apps.

g.ho.st - online desktop and mobile desktop G.ho.st site
This is a really cool Online Desktop / Virtual Computer for people who switch computers a lot or have limited access to the ones they use. Now they have a mobile component that gives you access to your Online desktop. Plus they give you 5gig of space. I think if you tell them I "hunteeer" sent you I get an extra gig of space or something. ??

Anyway you can access your ghost drive from your mobile including pictures, docs, music, vids, and such. Pretty cool.

    Eh, Kinda Works:
    ---------------
    Twibble - Twitter client Twibble.de
Not really formatted for the Storm yet. They are working on it.

    Doesn't Work:
    -------------
ShoZu - social app ShoZu BB area
They say they are working on it.

Beyond 411, Nav4All, & GPSTracker are not working for me due to VZW GPS issue which I am talking to Verizon about. It appears that the GPS is not unlocked as they said it would be. Note I don't have VZW Nav, but BB Maps works flawlessly.

Note that this does not account for many regular sites that have special mobile areas and pages that work really well without an actual application.
